Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, complete immigration and meet your driver for the one-hour transfer to your hotel near Bukit Bintang. Rest through the afternoon, then walk or drive to KLCC Park for the evening Lake Symphony fountain show with the Petronas Twin Towers lit up behind. Children can use the KLCC playground and splash pool area. Dinner at Suria KLCC gives you Indian, Malay and Chinese options under one roof. Early night before a full sightseeing day.

Start with a guided city tour: Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the National Mosque, the Royal Palace gates and the National Monument. Drive north to Batu Caves for the Lord Murugan statue, the 272 steps to the Temple Cave and the Ramayana Cave at ground level. Check out and drive 60 km up to Genting Highlands, stopping at Chin Swee Caves Temple for its hillside pagoda and valley views. After a cool-morning breakfast, descend to Kuala Lumpur and continue to the airport for your one-hour flight to Langkawi. On arrival, transfer to your resort near Pantai Cenang. Spend the rest of the day at the pool and on the beach; Cenang has a gentle slope into the water, which suits children with supervision. Walk the Cenang strip in the evening for duty-free shops, ice cream stalls and casual seafood or Indian restaurants.

A speedboat tour takes you to Pulau Dayang Bunting for the freshwater Lake of the Pregnant Maiden, ringed by limestone hills, where you can swim or pedal-boat. Next is Pulau Singa Besar for eagle feeding in open water, where brahminy kites swoop close to the boat, and then Beras Basah island for a stop on white sand with shallow water. Head to Oriental Village in Teluk Burau for the Langkawi SkyCab, one of the steepest cable car rides in the world, climbing to Gunung Machinchang at 708 metres. On the way back, visit Underwater World Langkawi at Cenang with its penguins, rockhopper enclosure and shark tunnel.

Drive to Kilim jetty for a boat tour through the Kilim Karst Geopark mangroves, passing limestone cliffs, the bat cave and fish farms where you can hand-feed stingrays and see eagles circling overhead. Guides point out monitor lizards, macaques and kingfishers along the channels. Return to the resort for lunch, then keep the afternoon free for the pool, a family massage or last-minute duty-free shopping for chocolates, perfumes and toys at Cenang or Kuah town.

Enjoy a final breakfast by the sea and use any remaining time for a beach walk or pool swim, subject to the hotel check-out policy. Transfer to Langkawi International Airport for your flight to Kuala Lumpur and onward connection to India.
