Itinerary
Arrival, Orientation & Golden Hour in Shimla
Arrive in Shimla and settle into your hotel. After a short orientation with your local photography guide, take a relaxed walk to capture the Shimla Ridge, Mall Road architecture, and the panoramic sunset over the hills. Evening briefing on camera settings, packing for cold mornings and safety.
Photographer's tip: Light winter scarves and jackets add texture for street portraits. Keep a fast prime lens for low-light shots on Mall Road.
Drive to Tirthan Valley — Riverside & Village Portraits
Drive into the quieter Tirthan Valley with photo stops at scenic Kullu viewpoints en route. Check-in, then head to the Tirthan River and nearby villages (Gushaini/Seraj) for candid village portraits, trout angling in Tirthan River textures and riverside long exposures.
Special note: Expect early morning mist; bring neutral density filters for long-exposure river shots.
High Meadows & Serolsar — Alpine Sunrise Session
Early start for a sunrise shoot at Jalori Pass / Serolsar Lake (subject to seasonal access). Capture alpine meadows, reflective water compositions and villagers tending flocks. Afternoon spent exploring local trails and photographing traditional Himachali homes.
Tip: Carry layered clothing and a thermos; alpine mornings are cold but offer the best light.
Transfer to Kasol — Parvati River Landscapes & Café Culture
After breakfast, transfer to Kasol and the Parvati Valley. Photograph the turquoise Parvati River, suspension bridges, and the contrast between rugged cliffs and riverside settlements. Evening portrait session in Kasol's vibrant market and Pulga's traditional hamlets.
Photographer's tip: Use a telephoto lens for compressed mountain shots and a 24–70mm for environmental portraits.
Naggar En Route — Art, Castle & Mountain Vistas
Drive from Kasol towards Manali with a photographer-friendly stop at Naggar Castle and Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery. Capture historic stone architecture, layered mountain vistas and intimate cultural frames. Arrive in Manali in the late afternoon for an evening walk in Old Manali.
Special note: Naggar offers excellent golden-hour light on castle walls and wood textures.
Sunrise Peaks & Adventure Backdrops — Solang and Nearby Vantage Points
Pre-dawn transfer to Solang Valley or a nearby ridge for a sunrise peaks session — ideal for silhouette shots, paragliders against dawn skies and snow-capped reflections (seasonal). Spend midday exploring Hadimba Temple and winding lanes for cultural portraits and evening blue-hour frames.
Adventure option (extra cost): Paragliding or snow activities for action photography sequences.
Final Frames & Departure
Early morning last-frame opportunity in Manali — street portraits, river bends at the Beas Kund, or a quick mountain viewpoint shoot. Finish with a relaxed drive back to your onward station (Chandigarh/Delhi) or fly-out. Final wrap-up with image review tips from your guide.
Note: Allow extra travel time if returning to Delhi — mountain roads can be slow. We recommend an overnight onward stay if flights are early.

Himachal Package Worth Every Rupee We Paid
Honestly, I was skeptical about paying upfront without meeting anyone in person, but TourGrids gave me zero reason to regret it. Me and my wife did a 6-night Himachal trip — Shimla, Kullu, Manali — and everything was pre-arranged. Hotels were proper good, both centrally located. Cab driver was punctual and knew the routes well. Breakfast was included at every property, which we didn't fully appreciate until we saw what others were spending on food. I'd done my own research before calling them, and their package came out cheaper with more inclusions. No hidden charges, no last-minute surprises. The coordinator stayed reachable throughout. Solid experience from start to finish.
First Trip Booked Blind, Nothing Went Wrong
I had never trusted a travel company with a full trip before — always booked everything myself. But for our Himachal trip, my wife and I decided to just hand it over and see. Honestly, the experience was better than I expected. Before booking, I had multiple calls with the team and they answered every question without any sales pressure. The itinerary felt like it was actually built for us, not copy-pasted. Hotels were proper good, cabs showed up on time, and there were no hidden charges when we settled the final amount. Our coordinator was reachable throughout — even on the day we got stuck near Rohtang. That kind of availability is what actually builds trust.
Himachal Ran Smoothly Because Rohit Never Disappeared
We were a couple of days into Himachal when our cab driver called in sick and I had no idea what to do. One WhatsApp message to Rohit — our assigned coordinator — and he had a replacement cab confirmed within the hour. No drama, no waiting. Honestly, that one moment told me everything about how TourGrids works. Before the trip, Rohit had already been very responsive over calls, helped us tweak the itinerary twice, and was upfront about costs — no hidden charges at checkout. Hotels were proper good, especially the one in Manali. My wife was skeptical about booking through an agency but she was the first to say we should use them again.
Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing in Himachal
We were four friends doing Himachal for the first time — Kasol, Manali, the whole stretch — and honestly none of us had the bandwidth to plan it ourselves. From the first WhatsApp conversation, our coordinator Priya was genuinely involved. Not just replying fast, but actually thinking through what would work for our group. When one hotel had a last-minute issue near Manali, she had an alternative sorted before we even had time to panic. Every cab showed up on time, the itinerary had room to breathe, and there were no surprise charges at checkout. Felt like having someone in our corner the entire trip.
WhatsApp Replies Faster Than My Own Family
Booked a Himachal trip with my wife through TourGrids after a long back-and-forth on WhatsApp — honestly that conversation itself gave me confidence. They assigned a coordinator named Rahul, and this guy was genuinely available. Not just during office hours — even when our cab was running late near Manali, one message and he was on it, called the driver directly and kept us updated. Hotels were proper good, nothing felt randomly picked. The itinerary matched exactly what we discussed, no surprise changes on ground. Pricing was transparent from the start, no hidden charges showed up at checkout. First time my wife actually enjoyed the planning phase instead of stressing about it.
Himachal Package Cheaper Than My Own Spreadsheet
I had spent almost two weeks trying to price out Himachal independently — hotels, cabs, flights, everything separately. Then a friend suggested TourGrids, and honestly the quote they gave for the same itinerary came out lower than what I had calculated on my own. Traveled with my wife, and the package covered valley-view hotels, all intercity transport, and even breakfast daily. No hidden charges at checkout, which I was genuinely worried about. The coordinator Rohit was available on WhatsApp throughout, sorted our check-in timing on a call when our flight got delayed. Hotels were proper good — not budget, not over the top, just right. The value for what we paid was hard to argue with.
