Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar & Evening Shikara on Dal Lake
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. Settle in and relax. In the evening enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride through the floating gardens and see the city lights reflected on the water. Dinner and overnight on the houseboat.
Distance & travel time: ~15–30 minutes from airport depending on traffic.
Srinagar: Mughal Gardens, Old City & Local Markets
Full day exploring Srinagar. Visit the iconic Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi — with panoramic views over Dal Lake. Explore the Old City, visit local Kashmiri crafts shops and the Jamia Masjid courtyard. Evening at leisure or optional traditional Kashmiri Wazwan dinner.
Good for photography and shopping for pashmina, walnut woodcarvings, and papier-mâché.
Gulmarg: Meadows, Gondola & Alpine Walks
Drive to Gulmarg through scenic valleys. On arrival, take the famous Gulmarg Gondola (Phase I & II) for dramatic views of snow-dusted peaks and high-altitude meadows. Enjoy easy meadow walks, snow play (season permitting), or optional pony/trek to nearby ridges. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
The Gondola schedule can vary by season — carry ID for ticketing.
Pahalgam: Scenic Drive & Valley Walks
Drive to Pahalgam (approx. 2–3 hours) passing through picturesque countryside and saffron fields near Pampore. Visit Aru Valley and Betaab Valley for gentle walks and stunning river-front settings. Enjoy the pine-fringed landscapes and an optional short pony ride or river-side tea. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Good day for light hiking; wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
Sonamarg: Thajiwas Glacier & River Walks
Early drive to Sonamarg, famed for its golden meadows and access to the Thajiwas Glacier. Take a moderate walk or pony ride (optional) to the glacier viewpoint, explore the Sindh River banks and enjoy panoramic mountain vistas. Return to Sonamarg for an overnight stay.
Altitude can be higher here — keep hydrated and avoid strenuous exertion on arrival.
Return to Srinagar: Leisure & Cultural Experiences
Drive back to Srinagar for your final full day. Use the morning for leisurely activities — visit the Heritage Walk in old Srinagar, explore more artisan workshops, or relax at the houseboat. Optional activities include a spa, Kashmiri cooking demo, or a short village visit.
Flexible day to rest or squeeze in last-minute shopping.
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out from your houseboat or hotel and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. If time permits, stop for a final photo point or quick market visit.
Ensure you carry travel documents and allow extra time for airport transfer during peak traffic.

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
