Itinerary
Arrival — Transfer to Bharatpur and Evening Birding
Arrive at Agra/Jaipur/Delhi (depending on your chosen arrival point) and drive to Bharatpur. Check into your hotel and relax. In the late afternoon enjoy a guided walk or cycle rickshaw ride around the outskirts of Keoladeo National Park for initial bird sightings.
Special tip: Carry binoculars, sun protection and light snacks. Evening birding is great for waterfowl and resident species.
Full Day Keoladeo National Park Birding
Full day dedicated to birdwatching inside Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guided by a local naturalist, explore ponds, reedbeds and woodland to spot migratory guests like the Sarus Crane, various ducks, waders and rarities. Lunch at a local restaurant or packed picnic.
Important: Park entry and rickshaw/boat fees may apply. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times for bird activity.
Drive to Ranthambore — Evening at Leisure
After breakfast, drive to Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur (approx. 4–5 hours). Check into the wildlife lodge and attend a short briefing on safari rules, safety and timing. Enjoy the lodge facilities, optional village walk or nature trail around the resort.
Note: Carry a copy of photo ID for park permits. Afternoon/evening at leisure to rest before early safari.
Morning Tiger Safari and Afternoon Visit to Ranthambore Fort
Early morning jeep safari into Ranthambore National Park with a trained naturalist and guide — prime time for tiger sightings and other wildlife such as leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas and diverse birdlife. Return for lunch and relax. In the afternoon visit the historic Ranthambore Fort and scenic viewpoints within the reserve.
Tip: Keep camera batteries charged and carry a light jacket for early morning safaris.
Second Safari — Explore Buffer Zones and Birding Trails
Morning safari in a different zone (subject to permit availability) to increase chances of tiger sightings and other predators. Post-lunch choose between a second optional safari, a village walk, or lodge-led birdwatching and nature activities. Evening session for wildlife or photography review.
Family note: Jeep safaris are suitable for children above the park's minimum age limit — please check current park rules when booking.
Drive to Jaipur — City Intro and Markets
After breakfast depart for Jaipur. On arrival, check into your hotel and take a relaxed city orientation: visit the local markets such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, and enjoy an evening sampling Rajasthani cuisine.
Note: If you prefer a sightseeing-heavy option, you can swap the Jaipur evening for a morning Amber Fort visit and continue to airport/rail connections later.
Jaipur Sightseeing and Departure
Morning visit to Amber Fort (elephant ride or jeep), quick photo stops at Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace complex, depending on your departure schedule. Transfer to Jaipur airport or railway station for onward journey or return home.
Important: Check your flight/train timings; we can adjust the schedule to match early departures. If you prefer to end in Delhi/Agra, transfers can be organized on request.

Our Rajasthan Coordinator Replied Before I Could Stress
Booked a Rajasthan trip with my wife through TourGrids and honestly, the coordinator they assigned us — Priya — was the real difference. Before the trip, she was always available on WhatsApp, never left us on read, and when I had last-minute confusion about the Jaisalmer hotel, she sorted it on call within ten minutes. On ground, when our cab to Jodhpur was running late, she tracked it herself and kept updating us without us having to follow up. Itinerary was well-paced, no hidden charges came up at checkout, and the hotels were proper good for the price we paid. Felt like someone was actually looking out for us the whole time.
Rajasthan Hotels Were a Genuine Step Up
We were honestly not expecting the kind of properties TourGrids put us in — my husband and I have done Rajasthan before on our own, and the difference was clear from the first night in Jaipur itself. The heritage hotel they booked had this whole courtyard setup, proper good vibes, nothing like those mid-range places we usually end up with. Udaipur and Jaisalmer stays were equally well chosen. And the cabs — always on time, clean cars, drivers who actually knew the routes. No waiting around, no last-minute confusion. Our coordinator had everything lined up before we even landed. Genuinely one of the better-planned trips we have taken as a couple.
