Arrival, Transfer & Evening at a Heritage Haveli
Arrive at Bikaner (by train/road/flight) and transfer to your comfortable hotel or heritage haveli. Spend the afternoon relaxing and exploring the haveli grounds. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional Rajasthani flavors and a short orientation about the tour.
Important: Early check-in is subject to availability. Pack light for the desert climate.
Bikaner Fort & Local Heritage Trail
Full-day sightseeing in Bikaner: Visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort with its palatial courtyards and museums. Walk through the local bazaars and see Lalgarh Palace (external views or optional entry). Explore the unique Rampuria Havelis and watch artisans at work.
Tip: Carry water and wear comfortable shoes for cobbled streets.
Deshnok & Transfer to Mandawa — First Glimpse of Shekhawati
Morning drive to Deshnok to visit the famous Karni Mata Temple (the 'Rat Temple') — a unique cultural stop. Afterward, continue to the Shekhawati region and arrive in Mandawa. Evening free to stroll around the town and visit illuminated havelis.
Note: Temple visits may require respectful attire and photography restrictions in certain areas.
Mandawa Havelis & Painted Frescoes Trail
Discover the heart of Shekhawati: Guided walking tour of Mandawa Fort, Nathmalji ki Haveli, Goenka Haveli and other painted mansions. Learn about the frescoes, merchant history, and how havelis were patronized by traders. Afternoon visit to local artisan workshops (miniature paintings, puppet-making).
Family Note: The walking trail is gentle and suitable for children and elders with short walks between sites.
Shekhawati Day Excursion — Nawalgarh & Dundlod Havelis
Day excursion to nearby Shekhawati towns: Nawalgarh (famed for its richly painted havelis like Sone-Chandi ki Haveli) and Dundlod for medieval mansions and a quieter rural atmosphere. Return to your haveli for a relaxed evening with a folk performance and Rajasthani dinner.
Tip: Capture fresco details during the softer morning/late afternoon light for best photos.
Cultural Immersion & Hands-on Experiences
Spend a relaxed day enjoying curated experiences: a family-friendly cooking demo (Rajasthani thali), turban-tying session, block-printing workshop, and optional village visit to meet local artisans. Free time in the late afternoon for shopping at Mandawa's bazaar or enjoying the haveli's hospitality.

Departure: Transfer to Bikaner / onward journey
After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Bikaner (or directly to your onward transport point). If time allows, quick stop for souvenirs or a final photo of Shekhawati havelis.
