Arrive at Shillong (Umroi/Shillong Airport) or travel in via Guwahati. Transfer to your hotel in Shillong and check in. Spend the afternoon exploring Police Bazaar — the commercial heart with shops, cafés and local handicrafts. Visit Ward's Lake for a relaxed walk and photo stop. In the evening experience Shillong's vibrant nightlife: sample local Khasi cuisine and enjoy live music at popular local venues.
Important: Hotel check-in is typically after 1400 hrs. Evening activities are optional and can be adjusted for families.
Waterfalls, Museums & Panoramic Views
Full-day sightseeing around Shillong. Begin with the iconic Elephant Falls, then drive to Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the rolling hills and valleys. Visit the Don Bosco Museum for a well-curated insight into North-East cultures. Finish with an evening stroll through Laitumkhrah and a relaxed dinner.
Tip: Carry bottled water and a light snack; the viewpoints can be breezy.
Cherrapunji (Sohra): Waterfalls & Caves
Drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra) — one of the wettest places on earth. Explore Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls for spectacular photo opportunities. Visit Mawsmai Cave to experience limestone caverns and unique rock formations. Check into your Cherrapunji hotel and enjoy an evening of stargazing or a cozy fire if the hotel provides one.

Mawlynnong & Dawki (Umngot River) — Villages & Clear Waters
Head to Mawlynnong Village, acclaimed as Asia's cleanest village. Walk through bamboo pathways, visit the living root systems, and climb the skywalk for panoramic views. Continue to Dawki (Umngot River) for the famous glass-like river — enjoy an optional boat ride on crystal-clear waters (seasonal). Return to Shillong in the evening.
Important: Boat operations on Dawki depend on river levels; boat fees may be payable locally.
Relaxation & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Shillong — last-minute shopping at Police Bazaar or a quick visit to any missed attractions. Transfer to Shillong Airport/Guwahti for onward travel. Program concludes on arrival at the departure point.
