Arrive at Dehradun airport / Haridwar railway and transfer to Rishikesh. Settle into your hotel, refresh and head out for late-afternoon and golden-hour photography along the Ganges—Triveni Ghat and nearby riverside villages. Evening briefing about the week’s sunrise locations and camera logistics. Light packing tip: keep a fast prime (35mm/50mm) and a mid-tele for candid village portraits.
Riverside Sunrise, Drive to Mussoorie & Sunset Views
Early-morning sunrise shoot at Triveni Ghat for long-exposure river frames and devotional portraits. Return for breakfast and then drive to Mussoorie / Landour (approx 1.5–2 hours). Afternoon rest followed by golden-hour and sunset shoots at Mall Road viewpoints and Kempty Falls. Note: short walking required on some viewpoints — comfortable shoes recommended.
Lal Tibba Sunrise, Landour Village & Cloud’s End
Pre-dawn transfer to Lal Tibba for panoramic sunrise frames of the Greater Himalaya. Spend the morning shooting in Landour village—wooden houses, stairways and local life. Scenic Drive to Dhanaulti via Waterfalls & Ridge Stops
After a relaxed morning, drive the scenic route toward Dhanaulti, pausing for waterfall scenes and roadside mountain vistas. On arrival, take a late-afternoon walk to Eco Park and adjacent ridgelines for sunset and blue-hour landscapes. Tip: neutral-density filters and a sturdy tripod will help with long-exposure waterfall shots.
Village Portraits, Sunrise over Pine Valleys & Local Markets
Early-morning shoot to capture sunrise over pine and oak valleys—soft light and mist are common. Spend the day on guided village walks photographing daily life, terraced kitchen gardens and traditional farmhouse architecture. Late afternoon visit to a local market for candid environmental portraits and street details.
Drive to Kanatal, Sunset Ridge Shoot & Cultural Evenings
Drive to Kanatal after breakfast, a lesser-known ridge area with sweeping Himalayan views. Afternoon and evening dedicated to ridge-line composition, layered mountain silhouettes and sunset color studies. Optional evening talk on post-processing tips for landscape and portrait work. Sunrise Ridge Session, Tehri Lake Transfer & Lake Reflections
Very early start for a ridge sunrise in Kanatal, capturing layered mountain silhouettes. After breakfast drive toward New Tehri / Tehri Lake. Afternoon and sunset photography focusing on reflective lake compositions, dam perspectives and small fishing villages along the shore. Evening free for image backup and group review.
Tehri Sunrise, Final Review & Departure
Pre-dawn shoot at Tehri Lake—mirror-like water and sunrise reflections; ideal for wide-angle and telephoto frames. Return to hotel for breakfast, wrap-up image review and compilation of a shot-list for personal post-processing. Transfer to Dehradun airport / Haridwar / Rishikesh railhead for onward journey. Important: leave ample buffer time for mountain traffic when planning flights.
