Itinerary
Arrival in Kochi — Drive to Munnar & Cottage Check-in
Arrive at Cochin International Airport / Ernakulam Railway Station and meet your private transfer. Drive through scenic roads into the Cardamom and tea hills of Munnar (approx. 4–5 hours). Check in to your luxury private cottage set amidst tea gardens. Evening at leisure with a guided short walk through estate trails and sunset views over rolling tea slopes. Welcome drink and honeymoon turndown (rose petals & small cake) on arrival.
Munnar: Eravikulam & Tea Museum
After breakfast, visit Eravikulam National Park to spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and enjoy panoramic views of the Anamudi Peak (subject to park timings/entry). Later explore Munnar Tea Museum to learn the history of tea production, followed by visits to Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. Evening at leisure at your cottage — opt for a private candlelit dinner on request (pre-booking recommended).
Tea Trails & Plantation Walk — Kolukkumalai Option
Enjoy an early morning guided tea plantation walk through misty estates with a tea-tasting session at a working estate. For adventurous couples (optional), take an early jeep excursion to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate — the world's highest organic tea plantation — for sunrise views (extra cost & moderate trek/jeep ride). Relax at the cottage in the afternoon with optional Ayurvedic spa treatments. Carry warm layers for early mornings.
Drive to Thekkady — Periyar Boat Cruise & Spice Walk
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady / Periyar (approx. 3–4 hours). Check in at a spice-scented resort. In the afternoon, enjoy a serene boat cruise on Periyar Lake inside Periyar Tiger Reserve — excellent for wildlife viewing (elephants, deer, birds). Follow with a guided spice plantation visit to learn about cardamom, pepper and cinnamon. Evening cultural show (Kathakali or Kalaripayattu) available on request.
Transfer to Alleppey / Kumarakom — Backwater Houseboat
Post breakfast, drive down to the lowland backwaters of Alleppey / Kumarakom (approx. 4–5 hours). Embark on your private/comfort houseboat by midday. Cruise through emerald paddy fields, village canals and coconut-lined waterways while enjoying freshly prepared Kerala cuisine on board. Sunset views from the sundeck followed by a comfortable overnight stay on the houseboat — a quintessential Kerala Honeymoon package highlight.
Disembark & Return to Kochi — Departure
After a relaxed breakfast on board and a short village walk (time permitting), disembark and transfer to Cochin for your onward flight or train. If schedule allows, stop at Fort Kochi for quick sightseeing—St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets and boutique shopping. Drop at airport/railway station for departure. We recommend scheduling flights post 1500 hrs for comfortable transfers.
