Itinerary
Arrival, Welcome Briefing & Resort Transfer
Arrive at Velana International Airport (Malé). Meet our representative and transfer by speedboat or seaplane to your resort in North Malé Atoll. Check in, settle into your room, and attend a welcome orientation and safety briefing with the dive team. Evening at leisure with a briefing about the week's PADI schedule and reef safaris.
Discover Scuba (Intro) or First Day of PADI Open Water
Morning introduction to scuba theory and equipment. Guests can choose a Discover Scuba Dive (guided shallow water experience) or begin the PADI Open Water course with confined-water skills and one open-water orientation dive. Practice basic skills in shallow, protected areas followed by a short reef snorkel in the afternoon. Bring dive medical form if required.
PADI Open Water – Confined Skills & Two Open Water Dives
Continue the PADI Open Water course: finish confined-water skills in the morning and complete two open-water certification dives at calm reef sites in the afternoon. Certified divers use this day for guided reef safaris — exploring coral bommies and schooling fish. Equipment rental available; advance sizes recommended.
PADI Open Water Completion or Reef Safari (Certified Divers)
Complete the final open water dives to earn the PADI Open Water Certificate, or for already-certified divers spend the day on a full-day reef safari boat trip visiting 2–3 top sites, including a possible wreck dive. Afternoon return for relaxation, sunset photography, and optional spa.
Advanced Options & Specialty Dives — Night Dive Experience
Choose to start an Advanced Open Water module or specialty dives (Deep, Night, Navigation). In the late afternoon, prepare for a guided Night Dive to see nocturnal reef life and biofluorescence. Non-divers enjoy a guided manta/whale shark snorkel (seasonal) or island-hopping snorkel safari.
Full-Day Reef Safari Boat Trip & Local Island Visit
Embark on a full-day boat safari visiting remote atoll sites — drift along channels, snorkel above vibrant reefs, and search for manta rays or whale sharks depending on season. Afternoon stop at a local island to experience Maldivian culture, crafts, and a short walking tour. Evening barbecue or themed dinner back at the resort.
Leisure Day — Optional Dives, Spa & Sunset Cruise
Free day to relax or add optional activities: extra guided dives, sunset cruise with dolphin-watching, water sports (kayak, SUP), or a spa treatment. This day is ideal for practicing buoyancy, taking photo dives, or finishing additional PADI specialties.
Final Dive, Checkout & Departure
Optional early morning dive or snorkeling session on the house reef. Check out after breakfast, transfer back to Velana International Airport, and depart. Confirm international flight times when booking transfers.
