Itinerary
Arrival at Dehradun — Transfer to Joshimath
Arrive at Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport / Railway Station). Meet & greet followed by a scenic drive to Joshimath (approx. 8–9 hours by road). En route, stop for refreshments and short photo breaks at river valleys and mountain viewpoints. Check in to your hotel in Joshimath and relax.
Evening: Orientation briefing about the Uttarakhand Adventure tour package, safety tips for skiing and ropeway operations.
Tip: Carry warm layers and a small daypack for essentials.
Joshimath Local Sightseeing & Cable Car to Auli
Morning city walk in Joshimath to visit the Narsingh Temple and local markets. After lunch, proceed to the Auli Ropeway (Gondola) — enjoy one of Asia's longest ropeways with panoramic Himalayan views as you ascend to Auli. Check in at Auli accommodation. Short acclimatization walk and snow-play near the slopes.
Evening: Brief skiing orientation and demonstration by instructors.
Important: Ropeway timings are weather dependent; subject to closures during high winds.
Beginner Skiing Session & Auli Sightseeing
Full day dedicated to skiing. After breakfast, enjoy guided lessons with professional instructors: basic stance, snowplow, gliding and beginner-friendly slopes. Equipment and safety gear provided (helmet, skis, boots).
Post-lunch, explore Auli Artificial Lake, picture-perfect meadows and viewpoints capturing the peaks of Nanda Devi and Mana Parvat. Sunset over the slopes offers spectacular photographic moments.
Tip: Hydrate well and take short breaks between sessions to avoid fatigue.
Advanced Practice, Ropeway & Gorson Bugyal Walk
Morning: Additional skiing practice or a guided snow trek. For non-skiers, enjoy the ropeway and chairlift rides for varied vantage points.
Afternoon: Short excursion to Gorson Bugyal — a high-altitude meadow ideal for panoramic walks and photography. Optional snow activities like snowman-building, sledging, or a short guided trek.
Evening: Farewell dinner with local Kumaoni cuisine highlights.
Note: Activities may be adjusted to match group skill levels and weather conditions.
Departure: Auli to Dehradun — Journey Ends
After breakfast, check out and descend to Joshimath. Proceed by road to Dehradun for onward departure (airport/railway). En route breaks for refreshments and final photos.
Tour concludes on arrival at Dehradun. We recommend allowing extra travel time in your onward bookings to accommodate mountain road delays.
