Arrival at Port Blair and Cellular Jail Evening
Arrive at Veer Savarkar International Airport / Phoenix Bay Jetty and transfer to your hotel in Port Blair. After check-in and some rest, visit Cellular Jail for the Light and Sound Show (subject to schedule). This provides a moving introduction to Andaman's history. Tip: Carry a government ID for all check-ins; show timings for the Light and Sound Show vary by season.
Baratang Island: Limestone Caves & Mud Volcano
Very early morning drive to Baratang Island (approx. 3–4 hours one-way from Port Blair). Experience the lush drive through the Jarawa Tribal Reserve (checkpoint formalities en route). Take the short ferry across Parang River, a short jungle trek and a boat ride through mangroves to reach the Limestone Caves. On the return, stop at the active Mud Volcano (seasonal). Return to Port Blair by evening.
Note: The Baratang trip requires long road travel on uneven surfaces and early departure — carry water, sun protection and light snacks.
Ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Local Beaches
After breakfast, take an early inter-island ferry to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). On arrival transfer to your beachside resort. Spend the day at Radhanagar Beach — relax, swim (lifeguarded areas), and enjoy a famous Andaman sunset. Optional: Book a short snorkeling session or a guided glass-bottom boat trip.
Tip: Ferry timings are fixed; pre-book seats and reach the ferry terminal early.
Optional Water Activities on Havelock and Return to Port Blair
Morning options: Elephant Beach excursion (snorkeling and glass-bottom boat), scuba diving (PADI beginner dives available), or a relaxed morning at Radhanagar Beach. After lunch, board the afternoon/evening ferry back to Port Blair. Check in to your hotel and relax.
Important: For Elephant Beach, boat transfers are weather-dependent. Book water activities in advance to secure slots.
Local Sightseeing and Departure
Depending on your flight/boat schedule, visit Corbyn's Cove Beach for a quick coastal stop or the Anthropological Museum to learn about Andaman tribes. Transfer to the airport/jetty for onward departure.
Tip: Keep extra time for transfers because inter-island and airport schedules may change.
