Itinerary
Arrival at Kochi — Transfer to Munnar & Evening Market Walk
Arrive at Cochin International Airport (Kochi) and meet your private driver. Drive through scenic lanes to Munnar (approx. 4–5 hours). Check-in to your charming Tea Bungalow nestled among tea gardens. Unwind and enjoy the bungalow's terrace with a first glimpse of mist-swirled hills. In the evening, take a guided local market walk through Munnar town — sample fresh local snacks and explore spice & tea stalls.
Important: Carry light woolens for the evening; temperatures drop after sunset.
Sunrise Viewpoints & Tea Plantation Walk
Early morning transfer to Top Station or a nearby sunrise viewpoint to watch the sunrise over the Western Ghats — a signature moment of this Kerala Honeymoon package. Return for a hearty breakfast at the bungalow. Later, enjoy a guided tea plantation and factory visit to learn about tea processing and walk through manicured tea terraces. Spend late afternoon relaxing on the bungalow verandah or taking photos at nearby viewpoints like Echo Point and Blossom Park.
Tip: Carry a light tripod for low-light sunrise photography.
Eravikulam / Mattupetty Sightseeing & Local Experiences
After breakfast, visit Eravikulam National Park (subject to opening/season) to view the unique Nilgiri Tahr and enjoy panoramic vistas of Anamudi Peak. Next, head to Mattupetty Dam — opt for a short boat ride on the reservoir (seasonal). In the afternoon, explore a nearby spice farm for a guided tour and a walk through aromatic gardens. Evening free to relax at the tea bungalow or take another stroll through the local market.
Note: Eravikulam entry is subject to availability and may require advance tickets.
Drive to Thekkady — Spice Plantation & Periyar Wildlife Walk
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (Periyar) — a scenic 3–4 hour drive through cardamom-scented hills. On arrival, check in to your hotel and later visit a local spice plantation for a guided walk and spice tasting (cardamom, clove, pepper). In the evening, enjoy an optional traditional martial arts (Kalaripayattu) or Kathakali performance or a relaxed walk around the resort.
Tip: Wear closed shoes for the spice plantation walk; trails can be uneven.
Periyar Boat Cruise & Transfer to Alleppey Houseboat
Morning boat cruise on Periyar Lake inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary — a peaceful wildlife-spotting experience (elephants, deer, myriad birds). After the cruise, check out and drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) (approx. 4 hours). Board a private Kerala houseboat (traditional Kettuvallam) in the late afternoon and begin your backwater cruise through palm-lined canals at sunset. Enjoy freshly prepared Kerala cuisine on board.
Important: Houseboat check-in is generally by early evening. Inform us of dietary preferences in advance.
Houseboat Disembarkation & Transfer to Kochi Departure
Wake up to tranquil backwaters — enjoy morning views and on-board breakfast. Disembark from the houseboat after the cruise and drive to Kochi (approx. 1.5–2 hours) for your onward journey or flight. If time permits, explore Fort Kochi (St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets) en route or head straight to the airport as per your flight schedule.
Tip: If you have a late evening flight, consider a short Fort Kochi walk to soak up colonial-era charm before departure.

Kerala Houseboat Rebooked While We Were Still Upset
We had confirmed a houseboat stay in Alleppey for our anniversary, and two days before, the operator cancelled without warning. My wife was really disappointed — this was the one thing she had been looking forward to the whole trip. I called our coordinator at TourGrids around 9 PM expecting to hear 'we'll try', but by next morning he had a replacement houseboat booked, same stretch, actually better reviews than the original. No extra charge, no back and forth. Rest of the Kerala itinerary — Munnar, Fort Kochi, the drives — everything ran exactly as planned. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. This was our first time booking through a travel company and honestly it removed so much weight from the trip.
Kerala Took Shape Before I Touched a Browser
I was planning a Kerala trip for my wife and me and honestly had no idea where to start — backwaters, hill stations, beaches, it felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids, so I dropped them a message on WhatsApp. Within the hour, someone from their team called and just asked us what kind of trip we wanted. No sales pitch, proper conversation. Two calls later, the itinerary was ready — Munnar, Alleppey houseboat, Kovalam, all sequenced properly with cab transfers included. They adjusted the houseboat night when I asked, no fuss. Hotels were proper good, no hidden charges at the end. Planning something this detailed usually stresses me out, but this time it genuinely did not.
Kerala Hotels and Cabs Left Nothing to Complain
Travelled to Kerala with my wife last month and honestly the accommodations TourGrids arranged were the highlight. We stayed at a proper resort in Munnar and a lovely heritage property in Alleppey — both were well above what I'd have found on my own at that budget. No compromise on cleanliness or location. The cab transfers were equally solid — same driver for most legs, always on time, comfortable vehicle. No last-minute confusion about pickups or drop timings. Our coordinator Priya had everything pre-confirmed and shared details on WhatsApp the night before each transfer. We just had to show up. For a couple wanting a relaxed Kerala trip without the usual booking chaos, this worked out really well.
Kerala With a Stranger I Ended Up Trusting
First time booking through a travel company — I'd always planned trips myself because I didn't trust anyone with my money or my holiday. A colleague suggested TourGrids, so I got on a call with them before committing anything. They listened properly, no upselling, just asked what my wife and I actually wanted from Kerala. The itinerary they sent back felt personal — Alleppey, Munnar, the right balance of relaxed and packed. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time, and no hidden charges when we settled the final bill. The coordinator was reachable throughout, even when we had a small room query at night. Took one trip to change how I travel.
Kerala Houseboat Date Changed, Nobody Panicked But Them
Two days before our Alleppey houseboat stay, my husband realised he'd mixed up the dates on his leave — we needed to shift everything by one day. I was sure it was going to be a mess. Called our TourGrids coordinator around 8 PM, fully expecting bad news. He checked availability, spoke to the property, and had it sorted within the hour. Hotel in Munnar also got adjusted without any fuss. No extra charges were added without explanation, and he kept us updated through WhatsApp the whole time. Rest of the Kerala trip went exactly as planned — backwaters, spice gardens, the works. Genuinely relieved we didn't try to plan this ourselves.
Kerala Resorts and Cabs Both Felt Premium
We did Kerala as a couple trip last month and honestly the properties TourGrids picked were a cut above what I'd found on my own. The resort in Munnar had a valley view I wasn't even expecting, and the houseboat in Alleppey was proper good — clean, well-maintained, not the budget kind. What also stood out was how clean the cab arrangements were. Driver was always on time, car was comfortable, no confusion about pickups between destinations. Our coordinator Priya sorted everything before we even had to ask twice. No surprise charges at checkout, no last-minute scrambling. Kerala trips can get complicated with multiple transfers — this one just didn't feel that way.
