Itinerary
Arrival, Relaxation on a Traditional Houseboat
Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Meet and transfer to a warm, comfortable houseboat on Dal Lake or a waterfront hotel (based on preference). Enjoy a welcome drink and time to settle in. In the late afternoon, take a gentle Shikara ride on Dal Lake to watch the sunset and floating gardens. Evening at leisure to enjoy local cuisine and houseboat ambience. Tip: Keep your camera ready for great sunset reflections on the lake.
Mughal Gardens, Shankaracharya & Local Markets
After breakfast, visit the famous Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh for colorful flower terraces and landscaped views of the Dal. Continue to Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views over Srinagar. In the afternoon, explore the old city and local markets, including paper-mâché and Kashmiri shawl shops — great for family souvenirs. Return to your houseboat/hotel for a relaxed evening. Note: Gardens are best enjoyed in the morning when flowers are vibrant.
Drive to Gulmarg: Meadows & Gondola Experience
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (approx. 1.5–2 hours). Check in at the hotel and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Take the famous Gulmarg Gondola (Phase I & optional Phase II) to reach alpine meadows — perfect for family photos and short, easy walks. Optional pony rides and gentle meadow strolls available for kids. Evening at leisure in Gulmarg. Important: Gondola timings and weather can affect Phase II operations.
Transfer to Pahalgam via Scenic Valleys
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. En route, stop at Aru Valley and Betaab Valley for easy family-friendly walks and picnic spots amid lush meadows and clear streams. Arrive in Pahalgam, check in to your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening. Tip: Keep water and sun protection for valley walks.
Explore Pahalgam: Baisaran Meadow & Riverside Walks
Spend the day exploring Pahalgam. Take an easy trek or pony ride to Baisaran Meadow (often called Mini Switzerland) — a gentle, grassy meadow ideal for children and family picnics. Stroll along the Lidder River and visit local markets. Evening at leisure with an optional campfire at the hotel (seasonal). Note: Baisaran is a short, family-friendly trek; suitable footwear recommended.
Return to Srinagar & Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar with a photo stop en route if time permits. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. If departure is late, enjoy a final stroll or quick shopping stop in Srinagar. Special note: Flight timings can be affected by weather — allow flexibility on travel day.

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
