Arrival in Srinagar — Houseboat & Shikara Evening
Arrive at Srinagar Airport, meet your representative and transfer to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. Unwind with a gentle Shikara ride at sunset, visit the floating vegetable markets and photograph the glowing waters. Evening at leisure in your houseboat with a local Kashmiri dinner.
Tip: Keep your camera ready for vibrant reflections at dusk.
Offbeat Day Excursion to Yusmarg — Meadows & Streams
Full-day excursion to Yusmarg (approx. 2 hours each way) — a quiet meadow framed by conifers and mountain streams. Enjoy a guided easy trek to nearby viewpoints, picnic by the stream and meet local shepherd families. Return to Srinagar in the evening.
Important: Yusmarg is ideal for gentle walking; carry comfortable shoes and a light rain jacket.
Srinagar to Pahalgam — Lidder Valley & Homestay
Drive to Pahalgam (approx. 2.5–3 hours), passing the saffron fields of Pampore. Check into a cozy homestay or guesthouse. Afternoon visit to Aru Valley or Betaab Valley with short riverside walks alongside the Lidder River. Evening cultural exchange with your homestay hosts.
Tip: Try local Kashmiri tea (noon chai) and walnut bread at the homestay.
Pahalgam to Gulmarg — Meadows & Gondola (Optional)
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (approx. 3–4 hours). Afternoon explore the Gulmarg meadows, take a walk or hire a pony. Optional Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak (Phase 1 & 2) for panoramic Himalayan views — weather permitting. Evening at a comfortable hotel near the meadows.
Note: Gondola is weather-dependent and charged separately; book early on high season days.
Gulmarg to Doodhpathri — Village Homestay & Streams
Drive to the offbeat Doodhpathri meadows (approx. 2–3 hours). Spend the day exploring tranquil pine groves, milky streams and wildflower patches. Check into a local homestay for an authentic village evening — local cuisine, storytelling and an optional bonfire.
Tip: Mobile connectivity may be limited in homestays — embrace the unplugged experience.
Return to Srinagar & Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar for last-minute shopping at Shah Hamdan Market or Lal Chowk. If time permits, visit the Mughal Gardens (Shalimar/Botanical) en route. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight.
Important: Keep departure time handy; traffic can be unpredictable during peak hours.
