Itinerary
Arrival at Kathgodam / Transfer to Kausani & Evening Panoramic View
Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at Kathgodam (or nearest rail/road head). Meet your driver and begin the scenic drive to Kausani (approx. 5–6 hours depending on traffic). Check in to the hotel and relax.
Evening: Visit the famous Kausani Sunset Point for spectacular views of the Himalayan range (including Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot). Enjoy a relaxed stroll through the nearby tea gardens and witness the glowing hues of sunset.
Tip: Keep your camera ready for golden-hour photography. Roads are hilly; allow extra time for stops.
Kausani Sunrise, Anasakti Ashram & Rudradhari
Early Morning: Optional early sunrise visit at Kausani Observation Point — famous for unobstructed Himalayan panoramas.
Daytime: Visit Anasakti Ashram (Gandhi Ashram), a serene spot with historical importance and lovely mountain views. Proceed to Rudradhari Falls & Caves — a short trek and an ideal picnic spot surrounded by pine forests.
Evening: Leisure time to explore local markets and sample Kumaoni cuisine.
Note: The Rudradhari area involves short walking paths; wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
Transfer to Almora via Bageshwar/Baijnath – Katarmal Sun Temple Visit
After breakfast, check out and drive toward Almora. En route, visit the historic Baijnath Temple (if preferred, slight detour) or proceed directly to Katarmal Sun Temple near Almora — a notable 9th-century stone temple showcasing ancient Kumaoni architecture.
Arrive in Almora, check in to your hotel and spend the evening strolling through the Almora Market and enjoying sunset views over the valley.
Tip: Katarmal is an excellent spot for history lovers and photographers. Please respect temple customs when visiting.
Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Excursion & Heritage Walk
Morning: Day excursion to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary (approx. 1–1.5 hour drive from Almora). Explore Binsar Zero Point and viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Kedarnath range. Enjoy birdwatching and short nature walks.
Afternoon: Return to Almora for a guided heritage walk covering local landmarks, traditional Kumaoni homes, and handicraft shops.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel; overnight stay in Almora.
Note: Carry binoculars for birdwatching and a light jacket for higher-altitude breezes.
Ranikhet / Chaubatia Orchards Excursion & Kasar Devi Visit
After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Ranikhet and visit Chaubatia Gardens — famous for orchards (apples, apricots) and wide Himalayan views. Stroll through terraced gardens and enjoy peaceful surroundings.
On the way back or later in the day, visit the spiritual Kasar Devi Temple (famous for its tranquility and panoramic vistas) and Chitai Golu Devta Temple near Almora.
Return to Almora for a relaxed evening and overnight stay.
Tip: Chaubatia is pleasant year-round; spring and autumn offer the best blooms and clear skies.
Departure: Transfer to Kathgodam / Drop at Railway Station or Airport
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kathgodam or the designated drop point for onward travel to Delhi or your next destination. En route, enjoy the last glimpses of Himalayan valleys and local villages.
Package concludes with drop at Kathgodam railway station or nearest airport. Please confirm your departure time so we can schedule an appropriate pick-up/drop.
