In the evening, take a gentle market walk on Residency Road or Lal Chowk to get introduced to Kashmiri spices, bakery treats and tea-houses. Welcome dinner includes light Kashmiri starters and a first taste of noon chai.

Day2

Old City Culinary Walk & Wazwan Preview

Explore the narrow lanes of the Old City (Nowhatta & Khayam Road) with a food guide: sample street favourites, traditional bakeries, and local snacks. Pampore Saffron Fields & Village Kitchen Lunch

Drive to Pampore for a fragrant walk through the famed saffron fields. Meet a saffron grower, learn about harvesting and participate in a small saffron tasting and demo. Enjoy a home-style village kitchen lunch featuring saffron-infused dishes, local breads like matnakash, seasonal vegetables and Kashmiri kahwa. Return to Srinagar for a relaxed evening.

Day4

Mughal Gardens & Hands-on Kashmiri Cooking Class

Morning visit to the iconic Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh to experience Mughal garden settings and scenic views above Dal Lake. Afternoon: hands-on Kashmiri cooking class with a local chef — prepare and cook dishes such as rogan josh, haakh, and Kashmiri pulao, followed by a communal meal. Evening free for personal exploration or a second market walk.

Day5

Tea-House Walk, Local Bakeries & Grand Wazwan Banquet

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing

We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.

First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir

I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
