Itinerary
Arrival, Shikara Ride & Houseboat Welcome
Arrival at Srinagar Airport, private transfer to your chosen houseboat on Dal Lake or a heritage hotel. After check-in, enjoy a gentle afternoon Shikara ride to watch the floating gardens and local life. Evening welcome with Kashmiri kahwa and a short briefing. Dinner and overnight on the houseboat/hotel.
Tip: If you arrive early morning, request an early check-in to experience the morning floating market (seasonal).
Mughal Gardens & Riverside Walks
Spend the day exploring the classic Mughal Gardens: Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, learning about their Persian-inspired layouts and historic significance. After lunch, enjoy a relaxed riverside walk along the Jhelum River, visiting Hazratbal Shrine en route. Evening free for shopping at local bazaars or relaxation on your houseboat.
Note: Mughal Gardens are best visited in spring & summer when flowers are in full bloom.
Old City Heritage Walk & Local Markets
A guided cultural walk through Srinagar's Old City. Visit Jamia Masjid, experience narrow lanes, traditional wooden architecture, and family-run shops. Spend time at Lal Chowk, Residency Road, and Polo View Market for Pashmina shawls, saffron, spices and local handicrafts. Evening cooking demonstration or free time to explore culinary delights.
Tip: Carry small change and be ready to sample street snacks like 'noon chai' and local bakery items.
Scenic Transfer to Gulmarg and Meadow Time
After breakfast, transfer to Gulmarg (approx. 1.5–2 hours). Check-in and head to the Gulmarg meadows. Optional activities include the Gondola (Phase I & II)—one of the highest cable car rides in the world—pony rides, or a gentle meadow walk. Enjoy sunset views over rolling alpine pastures. Overnight in Gulmarg.
Note: Gondola is weather dependent and is an optional paid activity.
Return to Srinagar & Riverside Leisure
Morning at leisure in Gulmarg—take a short walk or relax at your hotel. After lunch, drive back to Srinagar. Spend the evening relaxing by the Jhelum Riverfront, take a short shikara, or explore any missed markets. Farewell dinner with a Kashmiri cultural performance (seasonal/subject to availability).
Tip: Ask your guide for recommendations on authentic Kashmiri restaurants and sweets.
Departure with Last-minute Shopping
Breakfast and check-out. Depending on your flight time, you may have a short window for last-minute shopping for Pashmina shawls, saffron, or Kashmiri dry fruits. Private transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.
Important: Allow ample time for airport transfer — Srinagar traffic can vary. We recommend booking flights in the afternoon/evening when possible.

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
