Arrival & Cultural Introduction in Kochi
Arrive at Cochin International Airport / Ernakulam Railway Station and transfer to your hotel in Kochi. After freshening up enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring Fort Kochi: visit the Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace). Evening free to stroll the seaside promenade and try local seafood. Overnight in Kochi.
Drive to Thekkady — Spice Villages & Lake Cruise
Scenic drive to Thekkady through Western Ghats (approx. 4–5 hours). En route visit a spice plantation for a guided tour and tasting session. Late afternoon enjoy the iconic Periyar Lake boat cruise — one of the best wildlife-spotting experiences where you can often see elephants, bison, sambar, and diverse birdlife. Carry binoculars and light rainwear during monsoon months.
Permitted Trek / Bamboo Rafting and Camp Experience
Early morning guided nature walk or permitted trek inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve (subject to park permissions). Option for bamboo rafting on a nearby river to spot shy wildlife. Afternoon at leisure with an optional visit to a local tribal village or spice market. Evening overnight at a comfortable forest lodge or camp — enjoy campfire and local cuisine.
Transfer to Gavi — Forest Camp & Evening Nature Walk
Drive to Gavi Wildlife Camp (approx. 3–4 hours). Arrival and check-in to the eco-friendly forest camp. Afternoon guided nature walk focusing on flora identification, birding and low-impact photography. Evening forest briefing, safety orientation and night-sky viewing or nocturnal spotlight walk (if permitted by camp rules).
Gavi Jeep Safari & Boating on Reservoir
Full day of adventure in Gavi: morning jeep safari along tiger trails and wildlife corridors with an experienced naturalist (chance to see elephant herds, deer, and endemic birds). Afternoon boating on Gavi reservoir — serene paddling or motorboat ride through forest-fringed waters. This day is the core of your Kerala Adventure package — wear comfortable trekking shoes and carry water.
Drive to Alleppey — Houseboat Backwaters
After breakfast depart for Alleppey (Alappuzha). Board a traditional Kerala houseboat (kettuvallam) for a scenic cruise through the famous backwaters on a backwater houseboat cruise on Vembanad Lake. Enjoy fresh local Kerala cuisine prepared on board, see village life along the canals, paddy fields, and palm-lined waterways. Overnight on the houseboat — a relaxing end to your adventure.
Disembark & Departure via Kochi
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station for onward travel. If time permits, quick city shopping or a short sightseeing stop in Kochi before departure. Tour concludes.
