Itinerary
Arrival, Transfer & Dal Lake Shikara Experience
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your hotel or a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. Unwind with a leisurely Shikara ride at sunset — perfect for scenic photos and an introduction to Kashmiri waterside life. Evening free to relax on the houseboat or stroll the lakeside promenades.
Tip: Carry a light jacket for cool evenings on the lake.
Hokersar Bird Sanctuary & Mughal Gardens
Early morning drive to Hokersar Bird Sanctuary for prime birdwatching; spot migratory ducks, geese, and local waterbirds. Return to Srinagar for a visit to the famed Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi — and explore the old city and local markets in the afternoon.
Note: Mornings are best for birdwatching when birds are most active.
Transfer to Gulmarg — Gondola & Meadows
Drive to Gulmarg through scenic vistas. Ride the famous Gulmarg Gondola (Phase I & II recommended) for sweeping views of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows. Enjoy gentle meadow walks to spot Himalayan birds and wildflowers. Evening at leisure in Gulmarg.
Note: Gondola ride charges are often extra and subject to seasonal operations.
Drive to Pahalgam via Pampore & Saffron Fields
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. En route visit Pampore saffron fields (season permitting) and enjoy brief stops for photography. Arrive Pahalgam late afternoon and take a riverside walk along the Lidder River.
Tip: Pampore is best visited between October–November for saffron flowering and harvesting.
Aru Valley, Betaab Valley & Birdwatching Trails
Explore Aru Valley and Betaab Valley — both offer tranquil meadows, streams, and excellent birdwatching spots. Take easy nature walks along the riverbanks and meadows to spot songbirds, Himalayan species, and butterflies. Optional pony or short pony treks are available to reach quieter spots.
Important: Carry binoculars and a field guide or mobile birding app for a richer experience.
Return to Srinagar — Saffron Town & Houseboat Evening
Drive back to Srinagar. On arrival, consider visiting local craft workshops or the saffron fields near Pampore if missed earlier. Spend your final evening enjoying a calm houseboat stay or a classic Kashmiri dinner at a well-rated local restaurant.
Tip: Reserve houseboat dinners in advance during peak season.
Departure Transfer
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. If time permits, make a quick stop at local markets for souvenirs like Kashmiri handicrafts, pashmina shawls, and saffron.
Reminder: Keep travel documents and flight timings handy for a smooth departure.

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
