Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Kathmandu & Orientation

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu). Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Attend a welcome briefing and enjoy a short orientation walk around the neighborhood. Evening welcome dinner featuring traditional Newari dishes and a brief cultural performance.

Tip: Arrivals after 9 PM will have a simplified check-in and orientation the next morning.

Day2

Kathmandu: Sacred Sites – Pashupatinath & Boudhanath

Morning visit to Pashupatinath Temple, one of Hinduism's most revered Shiva temples (observe cremation ghats from a respectful distance). Continue to the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, a focal point for Tibetan Buddhism—circumambulate the stupa and explore nearby monasteries and shops.

Evening at leisure or optional visit to a Tibetan monastery for a short talk on local Buddhist practices.

Day3

Kathmandu Valley: Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square

Visit Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) for panoramic views over the valley and to witness Buddhist shrines and prayer wheels. Afterward, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic royal palace complex, Kumari Ghar (the Living Goddess), and nearby artisan markets.

Important: Respect local customs at religious sites; dress modestly and remove shoes where required.

Day4

Patan & Bhaktapur: Art, Architecture & Living Heritage

Drive to Patan (Lalitpur) to tour Patan Durbar Square, the Patan Museum, and local workshops known for exquisite metalwork and woodcarving. After lunch, continue to Bhaktapur to visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola Temple, and sample local specialties like juju dhau (king curd).

This day highlights the valley's Newar heritage and hands-on artistry.

Day5

Drive to Palpa (Tansen) – Hill Town Exploration

Scenic morning drive to Palpa (Tansen) (approx. 4–5 hours). Check into your hotel and relax. In the late afternoon, stroll through the historic bazaar, visit traditional houses and enjoy sunset views from Shreenagar Hill overlooking the Kali Gandaki Valley.

Dinner featuring local Palpali cuisine.

Day6

Palpa: Rani Mahal & Cultural Immersion

Visit Rani Mahal (The Queen's Palace), set on the banks of the Kali Gandaki and often called the 'Taj Mahal of Nepal' for its riverside setting. Meet local artisans, visit small museums, and discover hilltop viewpoints. Evening cultural program with local music and storytelling.

Note: Rani Mahal may be reached via a short local drive and brief walk.

Day7

Drive to Lumbini – First Glimpse of the Sacred Garden

Depart Palpa after breakfast for Lumbini (approx. 5–6 hours by road). Arrive and check into your hotel. Begin your visit with the Lumbini Garden and the Maya Devi Temple (birthplace of Lord Buddha). Relax in the evening within the serene monastic zone.

This marks the pilgrimage portion of the itinerary—quiet reflection time is encouraged.

Day8

Nepal Trip Held Together by One Person

Our coordinator Arjun was honestly the reason this Nepal trip went so well. My wife and I were first-timers to Kathmandu and Pokhara, and I had a hundred questions before we even booked. Arjun replied on WhatsApp within minutes, every single time. The itinerary felt genuinely planned for us — not copy-pasted. When our Pokhara hotel had a room issue on day three, he sorted it on call before we had to ask twice. Cabs were on time, hotels were proper good, no surprises on billing either. Felt like having someone local watching over the entire trip without us having to chase anyone.

Nepal Hotel Switch Happened While We Were Travelling

We were already in the cab from Kathmandu to Pokhara when our coordinator messaged saying the hotel had overbooked our room. Before I could even get stressed, she had already found an alternative property, same area, actually a nicer view. By the time my husband and I checked in, everything was confirmed and there were no extra charges on our end. That kind of quick thinking is hard to find. The rest of the Nepal trip — Nagarkot, the lakeside stay, the drives — all went exactly as planned. Communication was easy throughout, mostly WhatsApp, and the itinerary had good flexibility built in. Genuinely felt like someone was paying attention the whole time.

Nepal Took Shape Over One Honest Call

I'd been putting off planning Nepal for almost a year because coordinating flights, hotels, and cabs across Kathmandu and Pokhara felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids, so I called them. Within that first conversation, they asked the right questions — how many days, what kind of hotels, whether my wife and I wanted any trekking or just sightseeing. No generic package was pushed on us. They sent a customised itinerary on WhatsApp the next day, adjusted two things I flagged, and that was it. Everything was transparent — no surprise charges when we actually travelled. The whole planning process honestly took less effort than booking a domestic flight myself.

Nepal Cabs and Hotels Both Exceeded Expectations

We were a couple doing Nepal for the first time and honestly had no idea where to even start. A friend suggested TourGrids, so I dropped them a message on WhatsApp and within the day we were on a call going through the full itinerary. What stood out most was the quality of properties they arranged — the resort in Pokhara especially was proper good, right by the lakeside, nothing like what I'd been finding on my own at that price. Cabs were always on time, drivers were polite, transfers between cities felt completely sorted. No surprises, no last-minute confusion. The coordinator stayed reachable throughout the trip, which honestly made all the difference.

Nepal Package Cheaper Than My Own Spreadsheet

I spent two weeks trying to plan Nepal independently — comparing hotels in Pokhara, checking cab rates, calculating Kathmandu transfers — and the numbers just kept climbing. One call with TourGrids and they put together a package that came in under what I had budgeted myself. Traveled with my husband for six nights and honestly everything was covered — decent hotels, all intercity transfers, breakfast included daily, and a coordinator we could reach on WhatsApp anytime. No hidden charges when we settled the final bill, which I genuinely wasn't expecting. The hotels were proper good, not budget guesthouses. Knowing someone had already sorted the ground logistics meant we actually enjoyed Nepal instead of managing it.

Nepal Planned Over Three Calls, Nothing Left Out

I was planning a Nepal trip with my wife and honestly had no clue where to start — Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan, everything felt overwhelming to research alone. A friend suggested TourGrids and I just dropped them a WhatsApp. Within a few hours someone called back, asked proper questions about what we wanted, our pace, our budget. We had two or three calls total and by the end the itinerary felt like it was actually built for us, not copy-pasted from some template. Hotels were solid, the cab arrangements were sorted in advance, no last-minute confusion on the ground. No hidden charges either, which I was genuinely worried about. Really glad we went this route.
