Arrival & Evening at MG Marg — Relax and Local Flavors
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station, transfer to Gangtok (approx. 4-5 hrs by road). Check in and relax. In the evening, stroll along MG Marg — the heart of Gangtok — and sample local snacks. Visit nearby attractions if time permits.

Important: Early arrival recommended to acclimatize to the altitude.
Tsongmo (Tsomgo) Lake & Baba Harbhajan Shrine — High-altitude Lakes
Full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Tsongmo Lake) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Shrine (East Sikkim). Enjoy the turquoise lake, yak rides (optional), and panoramic mountain views. Return to Gangtok by evening.
Optional: Visit Nathu La pass subject to permit and availability — inform at booking.
Tip: Carry warm clothing; temperatures near the lake are several degrees colder.
Scenic Drive to Lachen — Gateway to North Sikkim
Early morning drive to Lachen (approx. 6-7 hrs). Pass through scenic hamlets, waterfalls like Seven Sisters (Bhim Nala), and terraced farmlands. Check in on arrival and rest.
Highlights: Changing landscapes, rural Sikkimese villages, photo stops.
Travel Note: Road conditions can vary; expect multiple stops for acclimatization and photos.
Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Transfer to Lachung
Very early start to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake (one of the highest lakes in the world). Experience stark high-altitude beauty and snow-capped panoramas. Return to Lachen for lunch and then drive to Lachung in the afternoon.
Important: Gurudongmar is at very high altitude; travelers must be medically fit and carry required medications. Carry original ID for permits.
Highlights: Gurudongmar Lake, high-altitude landscapes, photo opportunities.
Yumthang Valley & Zero Point (Optional) — Valley of Flowers
Visit Yumthang Valley — the famous ‘Valley of Flowers’ — and the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary (seasonal blooms). Option to drive further to Zero Point (Yumesamdong) if road and weather permit. Return to Gangtok later in the day (long drive) and overnight in Gangtok.
Tip: Bloom season (Mar–May) offers spectacular rhododendron vistas — book early.
Note: Zero Point accessibility is weather-dependent; if closed, spend more time in Yumthang and hot springs.
Departure — Last-minute Shopping & Transfers
After breakfast, enjoy a brief sightseeing (time permitting) — Rumtek Monastery or Handloom & Handicraft Centre — then transfer to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station for onward journey.
Tip: Keep travel documents and permits handy. If departing late, explore more of Gangtok’s local cuisine.
Farewell: Depart with memories of lakes, valleys, and Sikkimese hospitality.
