Itinerary
Arrival in Guwahati – Welcome to Assam
Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati. Meet and assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure to relax after your journey. In the evening enjoy a welcome briefing and a curated Assam tea introduction with a short tasting session to set the tone for the trip.
Transfer to Kaziranga National Park – First Wildlife Drive
Drive to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 4–5 hours) through scenic Assamese countryside. Check into your luxury wildlife lodge. After lunch, enjoy the first guided jeep safari into the park to spot the one-horned rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, elephants, and abundant birdlife. Evening at leisure with a nature talk at the lodge.
Elephant Safari & Wetland Birding
Early morning elephant-back safari (subject to permit) through the tall elephant grass and riverine forests for close-up views of the greater one-horned rhinoceros and shy mammals. Return to the lodge for breakfast and rest. Late morning visit a nearby wetland/marsh for birdwatching or explore the lodge’s nature trail. Optional community visit to a nearby village in the afternoon to learn about local conservation initiatives.
Morning & Evening Jeep Safaris – Deep Safari Day
Full day dedicated to deeper exploration: early morning jeep safari in a different range of Kaziranga to maximize sightings (elephants, rhinos, hog deer, swamp deer). Midday rest and lodge activities (photography tips, bird ID sessions). Late afternoon safari for more wildlife viewing and dramatic sunset photography.
Drive to Majuli – Private Teahouse Experience
After breakfast, drive to Jorhat and then take a short ferry to Majuli, the world’s largest river island known for its rich culture and scenic reed-lined banks. Transfer to your private teahouse set within a tea garden setting. Afternoon tea-tasting session and a guided walk through the property. Evening cultural performance (depending on schedule) showcasing Sattriya dance and local music.
Majuli Cultural Immersion & River Life
Full day exploring Majuli’s satras (Vaishnavite monasteries), artisan workshops (pottery, mask-making), and local villages. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal at the teahouse and a canoe ride along the Brahmaputra for birdwatching and scenic river views. Evening at the teahouse with a relaxed tea session and optional guided sunset walk.
Return to Jorhat/Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, ferry back to the mainland and transfer to Jorhat airport or drive to Guwahati depending on your onward flight schedule. En route, stop at a local tea garden for a final tea tasting and photo opportunities. Drop at the airport with assistance for your onward journey. End of services.
