Itinerary
Arrival, Panjim Welcome & Heritage Walk
Arrival at Goa (Dabolim Airport). Transfer to Panjim or nearby hotel in Old Goa. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring Fontainhas (Latin Quarter) with its colourful Portuguese houses, narrow lanes, boutique cafés and photo stops. Visit Old Goa churches such as Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral (time permitting). Evening optional Mandovi river sunset cruise and dinner at a riverside restaurant.
Travel tip: Keep some cash for small purchases in Fontainhas; many heritage cafés accept cards but smaller shops may not.
Transfer to Mollem & Jungle Lodge Orientation
After breakfast, drive south-east toward Mollem / Bhagwan Mahavir National Park. Stop en route at a local spice plantation for a guided walk and lunch with Goan flavour. Arrive at your jungle lodge, check-in and receive an orientation on safety, local flora & fauna and the upcoming Dudhsagar visit. Late afternoon guided nature walk around the lodge to spot birdlife and learn about medicinal plants.
Important: Carry lightweight daypack, water bottle, and insect repellent for jungle walks.
Dudhsagar Waterfall Adventure (Jeep or Trek)
Full-day highlight: early morning departure to the iconic Dudhsagar Waterfall. Options depending on season and permits:
- Jeep Safari across Mollem forest (4x4) to the falls and short trek to the base OR
- Rail-track trek for a more adventurous approach (season and safety permitting).
Enjoy time at the waterfall, take in the thunderous cascade, swim in natural pools (where safe), and picnic lunch by the falls. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and cultural storytelling session around the lodge.
Safety note: Swimming should only be attempted in designated safe spots. Trek difficulty can vary; follow the guide's instructions.
Village Walks, Community Interaction & Transfer to Cola
After breakfast, check out and travel towards the coastal village area (Cola/Neturlim region). On the way, visit a local market and stop for a short village walk led by a community guide: meet artisans, learn about cashew and coconut farming, and sample homemade snacks. Arrive at Cola Village, explore the unique Cola lagoon—a serene backwater meeting the sea—followed by a relaxed evening at a village homestay with a family-style Goan dinner.
Special note: Village homestays are simple and authentic; expect limited Wi-Fi but warm hospitality.
South Goa Beach Arrival & Water Activities
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to South Goa (Palolem/Agonda). Check-in at a beach resort. Enjoy beach time—swimming, kayaking, or an optional snorkeling session (season dependent). Walk the coastline and visit local shacks for fresh seafood. Evening free to relax with a seaside sunset and optional dolphin-spotting cruise (early morning activity can be booked instead).
Tip: Palolem is ideal for relaxed evenings and beach strolls; carry reef-safe sunscreen.
Cabo de Rama Fort & Coastal Walks
Explore the scenic southern coastline: visit Cabo de Rama Fort for dramatic sea views, short coastal treks, and photo stops. Spend the afternoon lounging on the beach or exploring nearby mangroves and headlands. Optional activities include a guided kayak through backwaters or a boat cruise along the coast. Return to the resort for a farewell dinner featuring Goan specialties.
Note: Coastal winds can be strong—secure belongings during beach walks.
Return to Panjim / Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back towards Panjim or straight to Dabolim Airport depending on flight timings. If time allows, stop for quick shopping in Panjim or a visit to any missed Old Goa sites. Transfer to the airport for departure with memories of waterfalls, jungle nights, village stories and Goa's relaxed beaches.
Departure tip: Allow extra time for travel to the airport during peak season; Dabolim traffic can be unpredictable.
