Itinerary
Arrival & Gentle Introduction to Spiritual Hanoi
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Settle in and refresh. In the late afternoon, enjoy a relaxed cyclo or walking orientation through the Old Quarter, circle Hoan Kiem Lake, and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Welcome dinner with an introduction to the pilgrimage itinerary.
Tip: Try light, modest clothing for temple visits; many sites require covered shoulders and knees.
Hanoi Spiritual Landmarks & Cultural Evening
Explore Ba Dinh Square and the key spiritual and historical sites: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda — an important Buddhist symbol. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's historic center for Confucian learning and scholarly pilgrimage. In the evening, attend a traditional Water Puppet performance in the Old Quarter.
Important: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays — schedule subject to government hours.
Full-Day Pilgrimage to the Perfume Pagoda (Chua Huong)
Depart early for the Perfume Pagoda area in My Duc. Begin with a scenic boat ride along the Yen Stream to the base of the pagoda complex. Visit Thien Tru Pagoda, and either climb the scenic steps or take the cable car to the mountaintop Huong Tich Cave — the heart of the pilgrimage. Explore nearby grottoes, shrines, and enjoy panoramic views. Return to Hanoi in the evening.
Note: The boat ride is approximately 45–60 minutes each way depending on water levels. Bring a light rain jacket in the wet season.
Pagodas, Lakes & Local Craft: Tran Quoc & Bat Trang
Morning visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake (Ho Tay) — one of Hanoi's oldest Buddhist temples. Continue to Quan Thanh Temple, a Taoist-Buddhist site with a giant bronze statue. After a local lunch, travel to Bat Trang Pottery Village for a hands-on workshop where you can try pottery making and shop for artisanal souvenirs. Evening at leisure in the Old Quarter.
Tip: Bring a small reusable bag for purchases — Bat Trang offers fragile ceramics.
Monastic Visit & Guided Meditation Session
Spend a reflective morning at a local monastery or meditation center near Hanoi for a guided meditation, chant listening, and explanation of Buddhist practices and pilgrimage traditions. The afternoon offers a curated visit to smaller, historically significant pagodas (options include Phu Tay Ho or local village temples) with your guide discussing ritual significance.
Note: Meditation session is beginner-friendly. Inform us in advance if you have mobility restrictions.
Optional Excursion or Free Day — Ninh Binh (Tam Coc) Option
Today is flexible: relax and explore Hanoi's markets and cafes, or take an optional full-day excursion to Ninh Binh (ancient capital of Hoa Lu) to visit Tam Coc by sampan, Bich Dong Pagoda, and Hoa Lu temples — an outstanding addition for those who want to extend their spiritual route. This optional day is available as an add-on and suits travelers looking for the extended 6 and 7 Vietnam Pilgrimage tour package experience.
Important: Optional excursion is subject to additional fees and early start times.
Departure — Farewell to Spiritual Hanoi
After breakfast, enjoy free time for last-minute shopping or a short visit to any nearby temple. Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight. Our team will assist with your transfer and final farewells.

First Time Trusting a Company, Vietnam Delivered
Honestly, I was nervous handing over our entire Vietnam trip to a company I'd never used before. My wife and I had always planned trips ourselves, so this felt like a big leap. But from the first WhatsApp call with the TourGrids coordinator, things just felt sorted in the right way — he actually listened to what we wanted instead of pushing a standard package. Hotels were proper good, cabs showed up on time every single day, and there were no hidden charges when we did the final payment. Anytime we had a question mid-trip, someone picked up. For a first experience trusting a travel company completely, this was exactly what we needed.
Vietnam Felt Easy Because of One Person
We were a couple traveling to Vietnam for the first time and honestly had no idea where to start. A friend suggested TourGrids, and after one WhatsApp call with our coordinator Priya, most of the confusion cleared up. She was genuinely responsive — not just during planning but throughout the trip. Any small issue, like a hotel check-in delay in Hanoi, she sorted it before we had to follow up twice. Itinerary was well-paced, hotels were proper good, and there were no surprise charges at the end. What stood out was that she actually picked up when it mattered. Felt like someone was actually watching out for us.
Vietnam Trip Ran Well Because of Rohan
My wife and I were planning our first international trip together and honestly had no idea where to start with Vietnam. A colleague suggested TourGrids, so I called them up. From the first conversation itself, our coordinator Rohan was very attentive — he understood exactly what kind of trip we wanted and built the itinerary around that. What really stood out was how reachable he was on WhatsApp throughout the trip. Small things like confirming cab timings in Hanoi or checking hotel check-in details — he replied quickly every single time. No running around, no confusion on the ground. Hotels were proper good, no hidden charges at the end. Felt like someone actually had our back the whole time.
Our Vietnam Coordinator Picked Up Every Single Time
Booked a Vietnam trip for me and my wife through TourGrids, and honestly the coordinator they assigned — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. We were first-timers in Southeast Asia and had a lot of nervous questions before the trip even started. He was always on WhatsApp, never took more than 20 minutes to reply, and when our Hanoi hotel had a room issue on day two, he sorted it on call within the hour. No drama, no runaround. The itinerary covered Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, and Hoi An — well-paced, nothing felt rushed. Pricing was transparent, no surprise charges at the end. Solid experience overall.
Vietnam Came Together Over a Few Calls
My husband and I had been putting off planning Vietnam for almost a year because it felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids and honestly, the whole thing came together faster than I expected. I called them once, explained what we wanted — mix of cities, some leisure, not too rushed — and they came back with a proper customised itinerary within a day. We went back and forth a couple of times on WhatsApp to tweak the hotels and day plans, and they adjusted everything without making it feel like a hassle. No surprise charges at the end either. The hotels they picked in Hanoi and Da Nang were genuinely good. Will definitely book through them again.
Our Vietnam Coordinator Was Always One Message Away
We almost cancelled the Vietnam trip because my husband kept worrying about last-minute changes and unfamiliar places. But the coordinator TourGrids assigned us — Rahul — was genuinely on top of everything. Any question we had, even small silly ones about currency exchange or which SIM to buy, he'd reply on WhatsApp within minutes. When our connecting flight got delayed in Hanoi, he was already on a call with the hotel to push back check-in before we even asked. We travelled as a couple and felt like someone had our back the whole time. Hotels were proper good, no surprise charges at checkout. Really, the planning felt effortless from our end.
