Itinerary
Arrival — Transfer to Dwarka and Evening Darshan
Arrival at Rajkot/Ahmedabad/Porbandar railway station or airport and meet our representative. Drive to Dwarka (drive time varies by arrival point). Check-in at hotel and rest. In the evening visit the famous Dwarkadhish Temple for the aarti and perform pradakshina around the temple complex.
Tip: Plan to arrive early if you want to avoid late-day traffic and ensure time for evening aarti.
Full Day Dwarka — Bet Dwarka & Nageshwar
After breakfast proceed for a full day of darshan and local sightseeing: visit Bet Dwarka by boat (famous Krishna island & temples), Rukmini Temple, and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas). Explore local bazaars in the late afternoon and return to hotel for overnight stay.
Important: Boat timings for Bet Dwarka depend on tides and weather; carry light footwear.
Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar — En route Visits
Check-out after breakfast and drive south along the coast towards Somnath. En route visit Porbandar (Kirti Mandir) — the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Continue the scenic coastal drive; optional short stop at coastal viewpoints. Arrive Somnath by evening, check-in and rest.
Note: This is a longer drive day (4–6 hours depending on stops); carry water and light snacks.
Somnath Darshan & Sightseeing
Start early for darshan at the Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple. Also visit Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Sangam and the Prabhas Patan Museum. Spend evening at Somnath beach and attend the temple light & sound show (if available). Overnight in Somnath.
Tip: Morning darshan is less crowded; wear comfortable conservative clothing for temple visits.
Somnath to Palitana via Junagadh — Forts & Heritage Stops
After breakfast check-out and drive towards Palitana/Bhavnagar region. En route optional visit to Junagadh to see Uparkot Fort and Mahabat Maqbara (time permitting). Continue towards Palitana and check-in at hotel near Bhavnagar/Palitana.
Note: Discuss any optional Junagadh stop with your guide; it adds cultural depth but extends driving time.
Palitana — Shatrunjaya Hill Temples (Full Day Pilgrimage)
Early morning ascent to Shatrunjaya Hill to visit the renowned Palitana temples — one of the most sacred pilgrimage complexes for Jains (thousands of marble temples). Spend the morning completing the darshan and exploring the temple clusters. Return to town for lunch and optional local sightseeing in Bhavnagar (Ghogha or Takhteshwar Temple) in the afternoon. Overnight at Palitana/Bhavnagar.
Important: The temple climb involves many steps — wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Women should carry modest attire for the hill temples.
Departure — Transfer to Ahmedabad/Rajkot/Porbandar and Drop
After breakfast check-out and proceed for transfer to your onward destination (Ahmedabad/Rajkot/Porbandar airport or railway station). En route you may stop for last-minute shopping or a short local visit if time permits. Assistance for onward travel and trip conclusion.
Tip: Schedule your onward travel at least 4–5 hours after hotel check-out to allow relaxed transfers.
