Arrival, Transfer to Sasan Gir & Lodge Check-in
Arrive at Ahmedabad / Rajkot (depending on flight options). Meet and transfer by private vehicle to Sasan Gir. Afternoon at leisure to relax at your premium safari lodge. Evening orientation with the lodge naturalist covering safari plans, safety briefing, and photography tips.
Important: Long drive (approx. 7–8 hours from Ahmedabad). Private transfers and pick-up timings can be adjusted to suit arrival flights.
Morning Jeep Safari in Gir National Park & Devaliya Park Visit
Early morning jeep safari into Gir National Park — prime time for spotting the Asiatic lion, sambar, chital, nilgai, and diverse birdlife. Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit Devaliya Safari Park (Crocodile Bank) for a controlled, safe enclosure safari that often delivers guaranteed large-cat and mugger crocodile sightings.
Evening: Optional guided nature walk around the lodge and stargazing session.
Second Safari Morning & Village Cultural Experience
Morning safari (jeep or canter depending on permit) focusing on alternative zones of Gir to maximize wildlife encounters and photography opportunities. After lunch, enjoy a curated cultural visit to a local Saurashtra village — meet tribal artisans, learn about local farming, and experience rural life.
Tip: Carry binoculars, a sunhat, and light layers — mornings can be cool while mid-days are warm.
Optional Full-Day Private Safari / Photography Day
Choose a full-day private safari experience (subject to permits) with a packed picnic lunch for extended time inside the sanctuary — ideal for wildlife photographers and serious enthusiasts. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing day at the lodge with spa treatments, birdwatching, and a sunset drive to a nearby viewpoint.
Evening: Campfire dinner and storytelling about Gir's conservation history.
Somnath Temple & Coastal Exploration
After breakfast, drive to Somnath. Visit the iconic Somnath Temple, one of India's twelve Jyotirlinga shrines. Explore the Triveni Sangam, the coastline, and local markets. Enjoy a sunset by the Arabian Sea and an evening aarti at Somnath.
Overnight in Somnath at a comfortable hotel or seaside heritage property.
Junagadh Sightseeing & Departure
After breakfast, visit Junagadh (time-permitting): explore Uparkot Fort, the Mahabat Maqbara, and views of Girnar. Transfer to Rajkot or Ahmedabad for your onward flight/travel. End of the Luxury Wildlife 5-Night Gujarat package.
