Explore Shillong — City Sights & Cultural Spots
After breakfast visit the key attractions of Shillong. Start with the panoramic view from Shillong Peak, followed by the peaceful Ward's Lake and the heritage Don Bosco Museum (excellent for family-friendly cultural insight). Later visit Lady Hydari Park and the Cathedral. Evening free for local markets or a cultural café. This day is relaxed to suit families and older travelers.
Transfer to Cherrapunji — Misty Waterfalls & Caves
Depart early for Cherrapunji (Sohra) via scenic roads. En route and on arrival explore the spectacular waterfalls and caves: Nohsngithiang (Seven Sisters Falls), Dainthlen Falls, and the limestone wonder Mawsmai Cave. Visit the Nohkalikai Viewpoint for stunning cliff views. Carry a small torch for cave exploration and expect damp, slippery paths near falls. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Mawlynnong — Asia’s Cleanest Village & Sky View
After breakfast check out and drive to Mawlynnong — acclaimed as Asia's Cleanest Village. Walk the village lanes, visit the Sky View Tower for panoramic views, and explore the local craft stalls. If time permits, visit the nearby living root bridge (single-span / easy access) for a short, family-friendly walk. Later proceed to Dawki for an evening by the river. Respect local customs and carry biodegradable waste bags. Overnight stay in/near Mawlynnong/Dawki.
Dawki Umngot River — Glass-Boat Ride & Border View
Enjoy a relaxed morning at Dawki with the famous crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Take an optional glass-boat ride (seasonal) and visit the Indo-Bangladesh border viewpoint. Return to Shillong in the afternoon with stops for photos and short walks. Evening at leisure in Shillong for last-minute shopping or a family dinner. Boat rides depend on river level and weather. Overnight in Shillong.
Departure from Shillong — End of Tour
