Itinerary
Arrival in Somnath & Evening Aarti
Arrive at your chosen pickup point (Ahmedabad/Rajkot/Ahmedabad Airport — pickup can be customized). Drive to Somnath. Check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening visit the Somnath Temple for the soulful aarti. Optionally attend the Light & Sound show that narrates the temple's history.

Tip: Keep a copy of your ID for temple entry and plan to arrive before sunset to attend the aarti.
Somnath Temple & Bhalka Tirth — Drive to Sasan Gir
Start early with a morning visit to Triveni Sangam and Bhalka Tirth (the site associated with Lord Krishna). Return to Somnath for a deeper exploration of the temple complex, museum, and nearby beaches.
After lunch, drive to Sasan Gir. Check in at your lodge/resort located near the park and attend a briefing for the next day’s wildlife safari.
Note: Temple timings and darshan lines can vary during festivals — plan accordingly.
Morning Jeep Safari in Gir National Park
Wake up early for the flagship experience: an early morning Jeep Safari into Gir National Park — the only place to see the majestic Asiatic Lion in its natural habitat. Experienced guides and trackers accompany the safari to maximize wildlife sightings.
Post-safari: return to the resort for breakfast and rest. Afternoon visit to the Devaliya Safari Park (a fenced reserve ideal for close sightings) or enjoy nature walks/heritage village visits.
Important: Safari timings are fixed by forest authorities. Carry binoculars, sunscreen, and a light jacket (mornings can be chilly).
Second Safari / Relaxation & Local Culture
Opt for a second safari (early morning or evening) to improve your chances of seeing big cats and other wildlife. Alternatively, relax at your resort or join a cultural program showcasing local Saurashtra music and dance.
Afternoon free for local exploration: visit nearby Somnath–Gir region craft markets or learn about local tribal culture at the resort.
Tip: If you choose the second safari, ensure advance booking to secure a jeep and guide.
Drive to Junagadh — Girnar Hill & Heritage Walk
After breakfast drive to Junagadh, an ancient city steeped in history. On arrival explore the impressive Uperkot Fort, Mahabat Maqbara, and local bazaars.
Later in the day (or early next morning based on fitness and preference), visit Girnar Hill — a premier pilgrimage site with historic temples and stunning views. The climb involves many steps; many pilgrims choose to climb early morning.
Note: Girnar climb can be strenuous. Consider a local guide and wear comfortable footwear.
Departure — Transfer to Ahmedabad/Rajkot
After breakfast, complete any last-minute sightseeing or shopping in Junagadh. Check out from the hotel and drive to your chosen drop-off point (Rajkot/Ahmedabad/Rajkot Airport).
Package ends with drop-off. If you prefer extension to Diu or an overnight in Ahmedabad, customized extensions can be arranged.
