Itinerary
Arrival & Ahmedabad Highlights
Arrive at Ahmedabad. Depending on arrival time, visit the Sabarmati Ashram, the historic Jama Masjid, and the atmospheric Manek Chowk (evening food market). Transfer to your hotel and relax.
Tip: If you arrive late, rest and prepare for an early transfer to Kutch the next morning.
Transfer to Bhuj & Bhuj City Sights
Early morning surface transfer or flight to Bhuj (approx 7–8 hours by road from Ahmedabad; flight option available). On arrival explore Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, and the bustling Bhujodi and Cutch Bazaar for Kutch handicrafts. Evening at leisure.
Note: Roads are scenic — expect stops for photos and local craft demonstrations.
Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) & Enter the Rann
Drive to Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) for sweeping views over the White Rann. Continue to Dhordo / Rann Utsav area. Enjoy the surreal salt desert landscape and local cultural performances.
Highlight: Prepare for wind and brightness — sunglasses and a light wind-cheater are recommended.
Rann by Day & Rann by Night Experience
Morning visit to local Banni grasslands and artisan villages. Afternoon for leisure, photography or optional activities arranged by the Rann Utsav. In the evening enjoy the celebrated Rann by Night — a moonlit walk on the salt desert, cultural shows, and folk music under the stars.
Important: Temperatures can drop after sunset — carry warm clothing for the night desert program.
Leisure Morning & Transfer towards Sasan Gir
Relaxed morning in Kutch (option for sunrise photo shoot at Rann). After breakfast begin the long transfer to Sasan Gir region (via Rajkot/Jamnagar). This is a full travel day — expect scenic rural landscapes en route with short stops.
Tip: Consider a domestic flight from Bhuj/Rajkot to shorten travel time. Pre-book refreshments for the road transfer.
Gir Safari & Devaliya Interpretation Zone
Early morning Jeep Safari in Gir National Park — the best chance to see the Asiatic lion along with deer, antelope and diverse birdlife. Return to the resort for breakfast and rest. Afternoon visit to Devaliya Safari Park (Safari Park / Interpretation Zone) for a guaranteed close-up view of lions in a protected enclosure and learn about conservation efforts.
Note: Safari slots are subject to park permit timings — exact schedule will be confirmed with booking.
Second Safari & Somnath Excursion (Optional)
Early morning second safari (different zone for varied sightings). After breakfast drive to Somnath (approx 1–1.5 hours) — visit the revered Somnath Temple, the tranquil Triveni Sangam and the seaside promenade. Return to Sasan Gir for the final overnight.
If you prefer wildlife over temple visits, use this day for a longer safari and nature walk instead.
Departure from Sasan Gir / Transfer to Ahmedabad or onward connection
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Ahmedabad or your chosen drop-off point (Rajkot or Jamnagar airport/rail station) for onward journey. En route, enjoy last glimpses of rural Gujarat and receive a small souvenir packet with local handicrafts (subject to package option).
Tip: Book departure flights for evening to avoid tight connections after road transfers.
