Itinerary
Arrival, Transfer to Ubud & Leisure
Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar). Meet your driver and transfer to Ubud (approx. 1.5–2 hours). Check in to your hotel and take time to relax after your flight. In the afternoon enjoy a gentle orientation walk: visit Ubud Market and Ubud Palace. Evening at leisure — optional Balinese massage or a short walk through rice paddies.
Tip: If you arrive early, we recommend visiting the Campuhan Ridge Walk for sunset.
Ayung River White-Water Rafting & Ubud Highlights
Morning white-water rafting adventure on the Ayung River (suitable for beginners and intermediate paddlers). Enjoy rapids, jungle scenery, and rappelling/mini-abseil options at some providers. After lunch, explore Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, and visit a local coffee plantation for a tasting of Luwak and traditional Balinese coffee.
Important: Bring quick-dry clothing and footwear that can get wet. Lockers are usually provided for valuables.
Mount Batur Sunrise Trek & Hot Springs
Pre-dawn transfer to Mount Batur area. Embark on the Mount Batur sunrise trek with a licensed guide (approx. 2 hours ascent). Reach the summit in time for spectacular sunrise views across the caldera and Mount Agung. After descent, relax at Toya Devasya Hot Springs and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Afternoon free — optional visit to a local art gallery or spa.
Fitness note: The trek is moderately challenging — wear good trekking shoes and bring a headlamp, layered clothing, and water.
Transfer to Tulamben via East Bali Sights
Check out from Ubud and drive east toward Tulamben/Amed (approx. 3–4 hours with stops). En route visit the water-palace Tirta Gangga and the scenic Taman Ujung (Suwung Garden). Arrive in Tulamben/Amed area, check in, attend a dive briefing (if diving following day), and enjoy sunset on the black-sand beaches.
Note: Road times vary — expect a full day with sightseeing stops.
Diving the USAT Liberty Wreck (Tulamben) — Two Dives
Full day scuba diving in Tulamben, home to the famous USAT Liberty Wreck — one of Bali's most iconic shore dives. Typically includes two guided dives, tanks, weights, and surface support. Marine life often seen: clownfish, pygmy seahorses, reef sharks, and colorful macro critters. Afternoon at leisure or optional additional dive.
Requirement: Divers must show current certification. Non-certified travelers can opt for a Discover Scuba Diving session (extra cost).
Optional Second Dive / Snorkel & East Bali Cultural Visit
Option for additional dives (boat or shore) or guided snorkel trips to explore Amed's reefs. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed cultural day: visit local salt farms, traditional fishing villages, or take a cooking class. Evening free to enjoy seafood by the shore.
Tip: If you plan multiple dives during your stay, notify us in advance for dive center coordination.
Transfer to Uluwatu, Beach Time & Sunset Kecak Dance
Leave Tulamben/Amed for the south coast, heading to Uluwatu (approx. 3.5–4 hours). Check in and spend the afternoon at popular beaches like Padang Padang or Bingin. In the evening visit Uluwatu Temple perched on a cliff and watch the mesmerizing Kecak Fire Dance at sunset.
Important: Bring sun protection for daytime beach visits and bring a light jacket for the cliff breeze at sunset.

Bali Hotel Swap Done Before We Landed
We were already at the Delhi airport when we found out our Ubud hotel had some issue with our booking confirmation. My wife was understandably anxious — this was our first international trip together and I didn't want it starting on a bad note. Called our TourGrids coordinator, Priya, and she sorted an alternate property within the hour. Same area, honestly a better view than what we'd originally picked. No extra charge, no drama. Rest of the Bali trip — the Seminyak days, the cliff dinner, the transfers — all went exactly as planned. The pre-trip WhatsApp conversations were also proper detailed, nothing vague.
Bali Planning Wrapped Up Over Three Calls
I was honestly dreading the whole planning part — Bali has so many options and I didn't know where to start. Called TourGrids and the guy on the other end just asked the right questions — budget, vibe, how many days, what me and my wife wanted to skip. Three calls later, the itinerary was ready. They adjusted the Ubud days when I said we wanted more beach time, no fuss. Hotels were proper good, cabs were on time, and the coordinator was reachable on WhatsApp throughout. No hidden charges at the end, everything matched what was quoted. First time booking through an agency and it went better than trips I've planned myself.
Bali Itinerary Built Around Our Actual Days
My wife and I had been putting off this Bali trip for two years because planning felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids and honestly, within the first call itself things started falling into place. The coordinator asked proper questions — our budget, what kind of experiences we wanted, whether we preferred beach days or cultural spots — and built the itinerary around that. No generic package dumped on us. A couple of WhatsApp exchanges later, hotels, flights, and cabs were all confirmed. No hidden charges, everything was transparent upfront. The Bali trip itself went exactly as planned. Just really glad we found someone who actually listened before booking anything.
Bali Planning Was Genuinely This Easy
I was honestly expecting the usual back-and-forth confusion when planning an international trip, but TourGrids surprised me. My wife and I wanted a Bali trip that wasn't just the standard tourist circuit, so I called them up and explained what we were looking for — more local experiences, fewer crowded spots. The team actually listened. Within a day they sent a customised itinerary that matched what we had discussed. We went over it on a call, made a couple of changes, and it was finalised quickly. Hotels were proper good, no surprise charges at the end, and everything was laid out clearly before we paid. The whole planning process felt very organised without being overwhelming.
