Itinerary
Arrival in Jaipur & Leisure at Your Palace Hotel
Arrive at Jaipur (Pink City). Private transfer to your heritage palace hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the property — perfect for recovering from travel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome orientation with your private guide who will walk you through the next days. Tip: Early check-in subject to availability; we'll do our best to confirm.
Jaipur: Forts, Palaces & Local Markets
Full day guided exploration of Amer Fort, including an optional elephant or jeep approach; visit the City Palace complex and the Jantar Mantar observatory. Walk through the old bazaars for textiles, jewellery and handicrafts. Evening at leisure or optional Rajasthani folk dinner at a heritage haveli. Important: Carry comfortable shoes for the fort steps.
Drive to Jodhpur – Mehrangarh & Umaid Bhawan
After breakfast, private drive to Jodhpur (approx. 5–6 hours), with scenic stops en route. Check in to your palace-style hotel. Afternoon guided visit to Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Evening free to explore the blue lanes or enjoy rooftop views of the fort. Note: Photography is excellent at sunset from Mehrangarh.
Jodhpur to Jaisalmer – Sunset at the Sand Dunes
Drive to Jaisalmer (approx. 5 hours). On arrival check in to a luxury desert camp or heritage haveli. In the late afternoon transfer to Sam Sand Dunes for a private camel ride and to watch the desert sunset. Enjoy a bespoke cultural program and a private dinner under the stars. Special: Upgrade options include private dune-side cabana and bonfire experience.
Jaisalmer: Fort, Havelis & Kuldhara Excursion
Guided morning tour of the living Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli and other ornate havelis. After lunch, short excursion to the abandoned village of Kuldhara and other desert viewpoints. Evening at leisure in the fort town with optional shopping for local crafts. Tip: Fort lanes are best explored on foot early morning or late evening to avoid heat.
Drive to Udaipur – Evening Boat Ride on Lake Pichola
Long scenic drive to Udaipur (approx. 8–9 hours) with comfort stops; alternatively guests may opt for a short flight (additional cost) from Jaisalmer to Udaipur via Jaipur/Jaipur connection—ask for flight quotes. Arrive and check in to your lake-facing palace hotel. In the evening enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola, passing Jag Mandir, followed by an optional candle-lit dinner on the water. Note: Road sections are long — private flights reduce transit time.
Udaipur: City Palace, Gardens & Romantic Experiences
Full day guided tour of Udaipur City Palace, Saheliyon Ki Bari and the local craft bazaars. Afternoon free for a private spa, boutique shopping, or a romantic photoshoot at palace viewpoints. Evening is ideal for a rooftop dinner overlooking the illuminated palace. Tip: Book sunset boat and rooftop tables in advance during peak season.
Departure from Udaipur — Farewell to Rajasthan
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning; optional short visit to the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh) or local museums if time permits. Our Rajasthan Coordinator Replied Before I Could Stress
Booked a Rajasthan trip with my wife through TourGrids and honestly, the coordinator they assigned us — Priya — was the real difference. Before the trip, she was always available on WhatsApp, never left us on read, and when I had last-minute confusion about the Jaisalmer hotel, she sorted it on call within ten minutes. On ground, when our cab to Jodhpur was running late, she tracked it herself and kept updating us without us having to follow up. Itinerary was well-paced, no hidden charges came up at checkout, and the hotels were proper good for the price we paid. Felt like someone was actually looking out for us the whole time.
Rajasthan Hotels Were a Genuine Step Up
We were honestly not expecting the kind of properties TourGrids put us in — my husband and I have done Rajasthan before on our own, and the difference was clear from the first night in Jaipur itself. The heritage hotel they booked had this whole courtyard setup, proper good vibes, nothing like those mid-range places we usually end up with. Udaipur and Jaisalmer stays were equally well chosen. And the cabs — always on time, clean cars, drivers who actually knew the routes. No waiting around, no last-minute confusion. Our coordinator had everything lined up before we even landed. Genuinely one of the better-planned trips we have taken as a couple.
