Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar & Dal Lake Shikara Experience
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and meet your representative. Transfer to your iconic houseboat or hotel on Dal Lake. Enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride through floating gardens, local markets and the tranquil backwaters as the sun sets. Evening at leisure on the houseboat with a welcome briefing about the Kashmir Adventure package. Ensure you carry a light jacket; mornings can be chilly.
Srinagar Sightseeing – Mughal Gardens & Local Heritage
After breakfast, take a guided tour of Srinagar’s Mughal heritage: Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and the view from Shankaracharya Temple. Stroll through local markets for Pashmina shawls and saffron souvenirs. Return to the houseboat for dinner. Tip: Carry small change for local purchases; respectful dressing is advised in religious sites.
Drive to Gulmarg – Meadows & Leisure
After breakfast, drive (~2 hours) to Gulmarg, known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. Check into your resort. Spend the afternoon exploring the lush meadows, take a family pony ride or enjoy a guided nature walk. Evening campfire or in-resort leisure time. This is the start of your focused Gulmarg Family Adventure.
Gondola Ride & Snow / Meadow Play
Today is the highlight: ride the Gulmarg Gondola (Phase I & II) for breathtaking alpine panoramas. At higher altitudes enjoy snow play, gentle sledging, and photo stops. Families can opt for easy guided walks or relax at the resort. Note: Phase II operations depend on weather; in heavy snow it may close — alternate activities include guided meadow walks or additional pony rides.
Optional Excursions: Khilanmarg / Alpather Lake or Leisure Day
Choose a relaxed day: take a short pony or cable access to Khilanmarg for panoramic valley views and family picnics, or—if seasonal and accessible—arrange a guided excursion to Alpather Lake (snowfield trek). Alternatively, enjoy resort activities (kids’ play area, indoor games) and a family photo session amid the meadows. Advance booking recommended for Alpather Lake due to difficulty and permits.
Return to Srinagar & Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar. If time permits, quick stop for last-minute shopping or a scenic viewpoint. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. Plan flights after 1400 hrs where possible to accommodate road timings; winter roads may add travel time.

- Any expenses arising from delays due to weather, strikes, or force majeure
