Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar — Welcome to the Valley
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your houseboat on Dal Lake. Settle in and enjoy a gentle shikara ride at sunset. Tonight is a calm introduction to Kashmir's scenic beauty and spiritual hush.
Included activities: Evening shikara on Dal Lake, welcome tea and brief orientation. Tip: Keep jewellery minimal and enjoy the evening breeze on the lake.
Srinagar Local Spiritual Sites and Gardens
Full day exploring Srinagar's spiritual and historic heart. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple with panoramic views over the city, followed by a peaceful visit to Hazratbal Shrine on the waterfront. In the afternoon stroll through Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh — Mughal gardens that offer quiet reflection.
Special note: Modest attire is recommended when visiting shrines.
Journey to Charar-e-Sharif — Sufi Pilgrimage
Drive to Charar-e-Sharif (Budgam), an important Sufi centre. Spend the day at the Charar shrine, attend the serene ambience and local qawwali if available, and learn about the shrine's heritage. Overnight stay near the shrine to experience the evening prayers and peace.
Important: Respect local customs inside the dargah; photography may be restricted in certain areas.
Return to Srinagar — Kheer Bhawani Pilgrimage (Tullamulla)
Return towards Srinagar with a stop at Kheer Bhawani (Tullamulla), a revered Hindu shrine famous for its sacred spring. Participate in the calm rituals and walk the quaint lanes around the temple. Continue to Srinagar and relax on your houseboat.
Tip: Arrive early to experience the serene morning rituals at the temple.
Drive to Pahalgam — Nature and Small Shrines
Scenic drive to Pahalgam, passing through Anantnag and the valley farmlands. En route visit the ruins of Martand Sun Temple (Avantipur) — an evocative archaeological and sacred site. On arrival in Pahalgam, enjoy a calm evening stroll near the riverside and visit local shrines tucked into village lanes.
This leg offers excellent opportunities for reflective photography and quiet walks.
Pahalgam — Patnitop & Lush Valleys
Spend the day exploring Pahalgam: gentle trails to Baisaran (Mini Switzerland) or a short walk to Aru Valley for scenic prayerful walks. Visit small, local temples and shrines and take time for meditation by the Lidder River.
Advice: Keep a relaxed pace to savor the valley's peacefulness; altitude is mild but wear comfortable shoes.
Second Day in Pahalgam — Community Visits and Local Culture

Return to Srinagar & Departure
Drive back to Srinagar. En route stop for any last visits or shopping for traditional crafts like Pashmina shawls and Kashmiri papier-mâché. Arrive at Dal Lake for a final relaxing snack, then transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Important: Ensure enough time for airport formalities. This concludes the 7-night Kashmir pilgrimage and romantic retreat.
