Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar — Transfer to Houseboat & Evening Shikara
Arrival at Srinagar Airport. Meet and assist, then transfer to your iconic houseboat on Dal Lake. Relax and freshen up. In the late afternoon enjoy a romantic shikara ride on Dal Lake watching the floating gardens and sunset. Dinner served on board with Kashmiri flavors. Early check-in subject to availability.
Mughal Gardens & Old City Exploration
After a leisurely breakfast aboard your houseboat, visit the famed Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi — with panoramic views of the Dal Lake and Zabarwan Range. Proceed to the Shankaracharya Temple viewpoint for sweeping city vistas, then explore the Old City and local markets for pashmina shawls and handicrafts. Evening at leisure on your houseboat. Wear comfortable shoes for garden walks.
Day Trip to Gulmarg — Gondola Experience
Drive to Gulmarg (approx. 1.5–2 hours). Spend the day in the meadows: take the Gondola (Phase I & II — subject to weather) for breathtaking views, walk the alpine meadows, or enjoy an optional pony ride. Return to Gulmarg for an overnight stay in a luxury resort. Gondola timings and operation vary seasonally.
Scenic Transfer to Pahalgam — Valley Walks
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, stopping at scenic viewpoints including Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari (subject to route). Check into your heritage cottage/resort in Pahalgam. Afternoon at leisure for riverside walks along the Lidder River or exploring local trails. Altitude is moderate; stay hydrated.
Return to Srinagar — Saffron Fields & Handicraft Shopping
Drive back to Srinagar. En route visit the famed saffron fields of Pampore and learn about saffron cultivation. On arrival, enjoy time for shopping at Lal Chowk and local emporiums for Pashmina, papier-mâché, and walnut woodcraft. Evening free for a final leisurely stroll on Dal Lake banks or a cosy dinner on the houseboat.
Departure from Srinagar
Breakfast and time for last-minute shopping or a short shikara trip if time permits. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. Check-out times and transfer depend on flight schedule.
