Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar & Houseboat Experience
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your iconic houseboat on Dal Lake. Check in, relax, and enjoy a gentle shikara ride at sunset. Evening is free to enjoy the houseboat ambience. Houseboat check-in typically after 1200 hrs; early arrivals can store luggage and use facilities.
Srinagar – Mughal Gardens & Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of Srinagar sightseeing. Visit the famed Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Explore the Shankaracharya Temple viewpoint for panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Evening at leisure with options for local handicraft shopping (Pashmina shawls, papier-mâché). Carry a light jacket — valley evenings can be cool.
Transfer to Gulmarg – Scenic Drive & First Glimpse
Drive to Gulmarg (approx. 2–3 hours). Check into your hotel/resort and soak in views of the surrounding meadows and pine forests. Spend the afternoon exploring nearby trails or relaxing at the resort. Gulmarg is a year-round destination — snow activities in winter and wildflower meadows in summer.
Gulmarg Gondola & Meadow Activities
Enjoy a full day in Gulmarg. Take the Gulmarg Gondola (Phase I & II) to experience breathtaking alpine vistas — ideal for families. Options include pony rides, easy walks on the meadows, and (seasonal) snow play or skiing taster sessions. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure. Gondola tickets are subject to weather and availability; pre-book during peak season.
Drive to Pahalgam – Valley of Shepherds
After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam (approx. 2.5–3 hours). En route, stop at scenic viewpoints and small villages. On arrival, check in and visit Betaab Valley and the riverside promenade. Afternoon free for a relaxing riverside walk or short pony ride to nearby meadows. Pahalgam offers easy, family-friendly walks and scenic picnic spots.
Pahalgam to Srinagar – Final Sightseeing & Shopping
Return to Srinagar after breakfast. On the way back visit Aru Valley or Baisaran (subject to time). Back in Srinagar, enjoy last-minute shopping at the Lall Chowk market or explore local handicrafts. Evening transfer to hotel or houseboat for final night stay. Confirm return schedule if you have a flight the next day.
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. Allow adequate time for transfer and security checks; flight timings may require early departure.
