Arrive at Srinagar Airport or Railway Station and transfer to your iconic houseboat on Dal Lake. Unwind with a relaxed shikara ride at sunset and enjoy a welcome dinner featuring Kashmiri flavors. Great first-day activity for families to adjust to altitude and soak in the scenery.
Mughal Gardens & Old City Discovery
Spend a family-friendly day visiting the famed Mughal Gardens: Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Later, explore the Old City lanes and traditional markets where you can watch craftsmen make papier-mâché and Pashmina shawls. Evening at leisure on the houseboat.
Transfer to Gulmarg — Gondola & Meadows
Drive to Gulmarg through scenic valleys. On arrival, enjoy family-friendly activities: take the Gulmarg Gondola (Phase 1 & 2) for breathtaking views, a gentle meadow walk, and optional pony rides for children. This day offers easy thrills that suit all ages.
Gulmarg Morning & Return to Srinagar
Leisurely morning in Gulmarg — choose a short nature walk or play time on the meadow. After lunch, drive back to Srinagar. En route, stop at a saffron field (Pampore) or local viewpoint if time permits. Evening free for shopping or a cultural evening at the houseboat.
Sonamarg Excursion — Thajiwas Glacier & River Walks
Full-day excursion to Sonamarg (the 'Meadow of Gold'). Spend the day at Thajiwas Glacier (short walk/pony ride depending on age and season), enjoy easy riverside strolls and picnic spots ideal for families. Return to Sonamarg for an overnight stay to minimize travel strain for seniors and kids.
Drive to Pahalgam — Betaab & Aru Valleys
After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam. On the way, visit historic sites and scenic stops. Arrive in Pahalgam and explore Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and the Lidder River — great safe picnic spots, pony rides, and easy trails for children and older travelers.
Pahalgam Relaxation & Return to Srinagar
