Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar — Houseboat Welcome & Shikara Ride
Arrive at Srinagar Airport where you will be greeted and transferred to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. Relax and unwind with a late afternoon shikara ride through floating gardens and markets. Evening welcome briefing and a gentle walk along the lakeside.
Tip: Carry light warm layers; mornings and evenings can be chilly even in summer.
Srinagar: Mughal Gardens, Old City & Craft Bazaars
Spend the day exploring the famous Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh — followed by a guided walk through the Old City. Visit local craft workshops to see pashmina weaving, papier-mâché artisans and copperware makers. Evening reserved for your first authentic Wazwan tasting — a multicourse Kashmiri feast prepared by local chefs.
Note: Wazwan evenings are communal and a highlight of this Kashmir Honeymoon tour package — please inform us of any dietary restrictions in advance.
Transfer to Gulmarg — Gondola to Apharwat Peak
Drive to Gulmarg (approx. 2 hours). After hotel check-in, take the iconic Gulmarg Gondola up to Apharwat Peak for panoramic views and photo opportunities. Options include short meadow walks, pony rides or, season permitting, skiing and snow activities.
Tip: The gondola operates in phases; the higher phase can be weather-dependent.
Leisure Morning in Gulmarg — Return to Srinagar
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Gulmarg with optional activities (golf, horseback ride or nature walk). After lunch, drive back to Srinagar. Evening at leisure — consider a second, intimate Wazwan or dine at a lakeside restaurant to sample local kahwa and rogan josh.
Note: This day is deliberately relaxed to balance activity with leisurely cultural immersion.
Srinagar to Pahalgam — Enroute Crafts & Riverside Walks
Drive to Pahalgam (approx. 2.5–3 hours). Enroute, stop at small artisan hubs to observe walnut wood carving and local embroidery. Arrive at Pahalgam and explore the Lidder River promenade, local bazaars and small artisan stalls selling Kashmiri souvenirs.
Tip: Carry small change for local markets and support local artisans — bargaining is common but respectful.
Pahalgam: Betaab Valley, Aru & Traditional Cuisine Evening
Full day exploring Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and scenic meadows. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch beside the river or dine at a local dhaba to sample rustic Kashmiri specialities. Evening features a curated dine-in where you can meet a local cook/host to learn basics of making a Kashmiri dish — part of the 'Cuisine Week' experience.
Note: Valley walks are gentle; ponies are available for steeper stretches.
Return to Srinagar via Sonamarg — Thajiwas Glacier View (Day Trip)
Drive back toward Srinagar with a scenic detour to Sonamarg. Stroll to Thajiwas Glacier (short walk or local pony/jeep) and enjoy Himalayan valley vistas. Late afternoon return to Srinagar for a farewell lakeside evening — optional final Wazwan or private candlelit dinner onboard your houseboat.
Tip: Sonamarg's glacier walk can be muddy; wear sturdy footwear and a waterproof layer during rains.
Departure from Srinagar — Farewell
Morning at leisure — last-minute shopping in Srinagar's craft lanes or a short shikara ride if time permits. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight, carrying memories (and handicrafts) from this immersive Kashmir tour package focusing on markets, crafts and Wazwan evenings.
Important: Confirm flight times; we recommend morning departures to avoid evening weather-related delays.

Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
